I have this and its great. My only problem is the google TV. It's a bit slow but I never expect much from any TVs built-in OS anyway. Also, I have a Roku Ultra connected to this and they kind of don't mix well. On startup, switching from GoogleTV to Roku Ultra takes a bit of time. I have another TXL TV that has Roku in it and switching to a streaming box like Roku ultra is just smooth and fast. GoogleTV is fairly new so I guess and I hope they get better in time. Oh and another thing, this TV has built-in mic in it so make sure you turn it off because who knows who's listening to you.
120Hz, mini LED with higher max brightness/zones and HDMI 2.1 are the bigger ones

My question is if the 6 series is worth 62% more. I have a R635 as my gaming TV, but am not sure if the S546 is "good enough" for an everyday TV
Google TV (AKA Android TV) is an excellent OS.
"ONE HUGE" problem.... it requires a fairly decent processor, something most TVs lack...including it with low and mid-tier TVs is just not a good idea. Those types of TVs perform best with Roku.
I would advise anyone that does not like Android/Google TV to try them via a streamer or Nvidia.

Depending on if you wanna burn your retina's out or not..... I wouldn't buy either of these for the price..... Wait till China and the supply chain is running as normal..... Most likely around BF, the 434 will be around $400 and this guy will be around $600..... If you need one now, go with the Hisense which is very simular to the 434... https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hise...Id=6430858
Looks like if your going to buy the Hisense 75" H6510G 4K TV. You better buy a extended warranty. Looking at the current reviews there are lots of 1 & 2 star reviews about these TV's. Lots of TV's are failing after 1-1.5 years.

I'm holding out for the new TCL models. Not yet confirmed for US market. https://www.techradar.com/news/tc...s-miss-out They may have Android TV but it's getting better and these are likely better processors by the sounds of it. I may be awhile before we see any bargains with ongoing supply chain issues. This year, all Hisense ULED TVs will move to the Google TV platform, which has built-in Google Assistant and Chromecast smart TV platforms.

TCL ended their partnership with Roku for the most part and got a better deal with Google to use their OS on their new TVs. I'm all about Android, but Google TV requires a better TV processor than Roku. And personally Roku offers a better interface and longevity for software support. IMO Roku is better.
Ugh I was not aware of this…I had just noticed both types of models but far more Android TV. I am dare I say "anti Google" at this point (I wouldn't go as far as anti Amazon I just think Fire kinda sucks) so if I have a built in TV interface I'm definitely partial to Roku. A higher end TV will likely be an LG OLED for me as even Sony is Google now… Samsung doesn't appeal to me.

So who are even the biggest partners for Roku built in now? They've always seemed to have been mostly budget oriented brands unfortunately and I'm sure that hasn't changed. Just a couple years ago you couldn't even find a TCL Android TV it was all Roku…

Really? My 2017 LG OLED B7 still looks great with no burn in.

Also have a TCL P605 that I bought 2 months before the OLED. Both in same room as I like to watch two sporting events or one show and one sporting event at the same time.

Neither TV has any problems at all. I later bought a 2018 OLED C8 as a bedroom. All TV's have a fantastic picture.

I'm not a gamer so 4K 60hz with Dolby Vision works perfectly for me.

And I have a 2009 Panny Plasma in the home office. Still going strong too. Maybe I just have good luck with TV's.
Since 2017 the price of 75 inchers have been cut by more than 60% on average, the streaming now accounts for almost 70% compared to 20% back then. As such, the processors have become far better and therefore less glitchy..... Not to mention your brightness levels are down at least 30%, most likely 50% since new..... Now if you're still watching old school tv, you're probably still ok, but if you've caught the streaming wave, you're likely in a very bad place and yelling at your TV's incompetence all day long..... God only knows where we'll be in another 5 years from now..... but no one short of Great Great Grandpa would want your 2017 by then.

Good catch! I've always felt Hisense wasn't up to par but haven't seen anything bad the last year to reinforce my long term feelings. The last TV I felt comfortable buying was the TCL 65S434.... After 18 months, it seems that decision was a good one. Failure rates among brands seem similar, especially if you factor in price. At the time, it was between mine and the 6510G..... It has proven out that I went with the right brand! https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sear...0TV&st=434

I agree. Hisense is significantly better.
You may want to look at the conversation I and Chingu808 have just had..... It seems as long term, the TCL was the better choice for reliabilty.

Disagree completely. Majority of my content is 4K and HDR streaming.

Why would anyone spend money on an OLED if 3-5 years later the brightness is down 50%?

I never yell at my TV, it just works with no problems.

Maybe we have different viewing habits and demands.

I think TCL will still have both Roku and Google TV this year. This new chip on the way may help with that. MediaTek's upcoming Pentonic series chips https://www.techradar.com/news/ga...-this-year

Theres so many comments with so much information to try and take in. Could anyone tell me if this TV is worth purchasing currently for somone looking for a minimum of a 75inch TV for their living room for viewing/streaming movies and shows? Potentially also hooking up a N64 for fun in the future?

Also, would I be better off purchasing thru Best Buy or Amazon? Both have additional warranties, Amazon being longer time frame and cheaper.
