Get a bigger living room
My new big living room's been stuck on a shipping container since the winter.
If you're looking at the 65" TCL, the Hisense H9G is about the same price on Amazon right now, and rtings has it higher at pretty much all metrics (especially much brighter). Main downside is it doesn't have VRR.

the 75" TCL is a decent deal, but it's too big for my living room.

Grabbed this recently as an upgrade from an old 50" TV after moving to a new place with a giant living room. Researched for awhile for the best value big screen TV. As an average viewer, I figured I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and the next few steps up in quality (and price). I have a Sonos Arc and Shield Pro plugged into it and very happy with the setup!

Also, this set is bright. I had to turn down the brightness especially for viewing at night

I was looking at that one too but although it has 120hz refresh rate, the hdmi ports don't support 120hz so I jumped ship

How can a panel with a 60hz native refresh support VRR??? Wouldn't the panel require 120hz native to do that....

No. VRR has nothing to do with refresh rate of the panel. It's an HDMI feature

Most games are cap at 60hz 4k, the magic of HDMI VRR can be seen in games with more than 60hz 4k.

PS5 actually got it earlier this week (surprised me too, Google it), although most games don't actually implement it yet

Yeah. Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales should have it as a game setting. Saw Insomniac get praised for it.

Short answer.

95% of the issues are fixed.

I have no issues with my 6 series.

I believe there is a particular arc issue for certain receivers that still remains but i dont use that feature.

TCL 6 series is $1,300 (75")
TCL 5 series is $800 (75")

Is the mini led panel worth the extra $500? I know it has VRR and support for HDMI 2.1 as well.
