A regular jug of Clorox is 7.5% Sodium Hypochlorite.

This is 1.84% Sodium Hypochlorite.

Is this basically watered down Clorox?

Probably could make a similar homebrew with a half gallon of water, cup of regular Clorox, and squirt of dishwashing soap for surfactant.

This is a great deal. I'm surprised it's not more popular.

The benefit of this over a DIY solution is that this has a longer shelf life. A bleach spray you make yourself has to be used within a day of mixing [scripps.edu]. Clorox says that the shelf life of this product is 15 months so they must add some ingredient to stabilize the mixture and keep it from losing effectiveness.

If you want to go the DIY route, use less bleach than you think. 1 part bleach to 9 parts water is a good dilution ratio.

I don't have current pricing, but I always buy the 180 oz Chlorox Clean-Up Cleaner + Bleach 180 fl oz that comes with a full spray bottle that is supposedly refillable for a similar price at Costco when it's on sale. It lists 1.84% Sodium Hypochlorite. It is plenty strong and I wouldn't want it to be stronger.

I complained about the spray bottles not working when refilled and they sent me a couple of coupons for spray bottles, but I find it easier to buy a spray bottle full of a similar product at Aldi's and refill it instead, thinner container (takes up less space) and easier to refill and use again and again.
