Can anyone answer this question for me:

If I have a small form-factor HP 24 desktop (one with the mini PSU that can't easily be upgraded) - can I move the MOBO from that case to a new case like this one, and then upgrade things inside that?

Or will this small form-factor PC also have some proprietary MOBO that doesn't fit in other cases?

Thanks for any help!

It's possible that MB is compatible with the case but you'd have to check the form factor to make sure that board is supported. If you can locate the exact model number of the HP 24 you have you should be able to find it with that on HP's website.

You can always try but my guess is that the computer has a proprietary layout for the screws

Does this case allow for interchangeable front panels? The case that's shown has a solid front for bad air flow

Yes, but it's never in stock. So not really.

I know because I've been trying to buy the airflow one for about a year and signed up for notifications for when it's back in stock.

The airflow for 94 seems like a better deal, since the airflow panel is always oos

Yeah, the panel is cheap ($5) but if they charge shipping, it becomes close enough to not bother with the wait.

Lots of retailers (Dell for sure, HP most likely) Also have proprietary power connectors or cabling on their boards that prevent you from upgrading your own components. So it's very likely that the board requires that specific power supply that it came with.
