Bought this before and when it arrived it smelled like fish for some reason. Ended exchanging it and it took like a month for me to get a new one which still smelled like fish but not as bad as the first one shipped to me. Used it for like 3 months and it ended up dying on me when I was traveling
I got one of these the last time it popped up, and honestly.. It's kinda flakey. I use it to charge two macbooks over USB C, a generic microusb cable for gadgets, and an apple watch charger.

The official apple watch charger plugged into USB A on it frequently just does not work. Unplug and replug a dozen times and eventually it works.

USB C charging for laptops is flakey too. Sometimes I get the full wattage (even when nothing else is plugged in) and sometimes the power flickers on/off to them altogether.

I have given up on using this to charge my M1 Macbook Pro and Apple Watch.
Got this from a deal awhile back. It starts out charging ok, but once it heats up, it starts to intermittently charge all of the attached devices every other second as if they were just being plugged in.

Another bit is that it disconnects everything momentarily when rebalancing the wattage among every device when something is plugged/unplugged. So it's bad for Raspberry Pis that want constant power, etc.

(Mine doesn't have fish oil)

What's the difference between this model and the other monoprice model 41986 100w charger - looks like same number and type of ports, etc.?

No experience with this particular charger but I had a similar 60W charger that died in a couple of weeks and they sent me a replacement which had one of the USB A fail soon. I just gave up on it as I was worried it might fry my devices.

I am a big fan of Monoprice for their relatively inexpensive, but decent to great quality cables, like bulk speaker wire, bulk ethernet cables, HDMI cables etc., and the in wall media jacks. But I have learned to stay away from their other electronic stuff. Had similarly bad experience with outdoor speaker volume control. 3 out of 4 shipped to me didn't work.

I've heard great things about their Monolith sub line, so I am sure there are great stuff to get there, but I would recommend against this deal.. purely based on my anecdotal experience.

Bought this during one the previous deals. For what it's worth, I've used it on a couple trips and it's charged devices without an issue. Don't know about long-term reliability but for now has been working well (knock on wood)...

I have this same problem with it. thank you. I can charge 1 USBC at a time. If I try to charge USBC and anything else, the USB A and things plugged in after, flash charging and not charging back and forth. I'd avoid it.

I am not 100% sure if it works well with Apple devices. I bought this from previous deal. I like it so far. However, like many reported in previous post, it is randomly going on and off on. I hear ding (charger connected for iOS devices) every 1-2 mins when I plugged USB-C to Lightening for iPads (so I am using both USB-C ports for two iPads). It is OK with two iPhones which was interesting. It is OK with two charges on USB-C to USB-C for iPad Pros. Also, OK with one USB-C to USB-C for Macbook Pro (while not using) and USB-C to Lightening for iPhone. I ended up keep using except for iPad and Macbook Pro (just for safety) but it is still very suspicious.
