Philips 346E2CUAE 34" Curved Frameless Monitor.
  • UltraWide QHD 3440x1440
  • 100Hz, 121% sRGB, 1ms MPRT,
  • USB-C Docking,
  • MultiView PIP/PBP, Height Adjustable,
  • 4Yr Advance Replacement, Black on Amazon.
  • VA Panel
  • 1 HDMI
  • Display Port
  • Speakers Built In
Been looking for a good WFH monitor to hook to a new MacBook Air and settled on this one. I don't care about VA /IPS panel. My primary issue was USB C and at least some crappy built in speakers. Would also like to avoid dual monitors as it just adds more crap on my desk and Macbook has issues running dual monitors, apparently.

Give me your honest thoughts? Crappy or good deal?

It's below average. Spend the $10-20 more to get a 144hz monitor with Freesync.

The Monoprice 34 in curved one was $399 until today a Gigabyte one goes on sale for $300 quite often if you search...

In your post you said you just wanted this for WFH. If that is the case and you don't do any gaming, then you probably don't care about FreeSync OR 144Hz. Having a monitor at 100Hz+ is a little nicer/smoother but honestly I don't even notice the difference the vast majority of the time outside of gaming.

The 34" Curved Gigabyte (which I am using right now) was just on sale for $300 for the past month or so. Sale is over though AFAIK. That does coincidentally have both FreeSync and 144Hz which is just a bonus for you. I use it for both WFH and gaming.

ETA: You also said you wanted USB-C and the Gigabyte one that was on sale does not have that. You could alternately consider buying a separate USB C docking hub if you want to expand your options. The Gigabyte does have built-in speakers though.

Thanks. This is a helpful response. Ultimately, a Slickdeals is a great price on what works for you. The Gigabyte doesn't have usb c as you note so that one is out.

Monitor review.

USB c works well. Charges laptop and runs monitor.

Picture looks fine. But - The higher resolution 1440 is more difficult to see. Zooming in seems to defeat the point. What else should I try?

Speakers are typical - not great but helpful to avoid need for more crap on desk.

I bought a few for the office. The USB-C charging with Apple laptops was a big deal for me. I don't care about Freesync. TY OP!
