Been looking for a good WFH monitor to hook to a new MacBook Air and settled on this one. I don't care about VA /IPS panel. My primary issue was USB C and at least some crappy built in speakers. Would also like to avoid dual monitors as it just adds more crap on my desk and Macbook has issues running dual monitors, apparently.
Give me your honest thoughts? Crappy or good deal?

The 34" Curved Gigabyte (which I am using right now) was just on sale for $300 for the past month or so. Sale is over though AFAIK. That does coincidentally have both FreeSync and 144Hz which is just a bonus for you. I use it for both WFH and gaming.
ETA: You also said you wanted USB-C and the Gigabyte one that was on sale does not have that. You could alternately consider buying a separate USB C docking hub if you want to expand your options. The Gigabyte does have built-in speakers though.

USB c works well. Charges laptop and runs monitor.
Picture looks fine. But - The higher resolution 1440 is more difficult to see. Zooming in seems to defeat the point. What else should I try?
Speakers are typical - not great but helpful to avoid need for more crap on desk.
