If you have an rtx video card, use Nvidia broadcast to filter out the noise.

If you have an older GTX card or AMD, use krisp.ai

Both work wonders.

Is this good for PC gaming?

Currently have a Blue Snowball and it literally picks up noise from my AC on the other side of the room. People online have complained to me and asked me to mute myself lol. Will this mic have the same issue? aka is it super sensitive?

I don't have this mic, just curious have you tried turning down the sensitivity? Windows have the options if not HyperX.

If your AC is so loud, to reduce background noise pickup for this kind of USB mic, I think you need boom arm to put it in the right location which only pickup your voice. Since it is close to your mouth, you can lower the input gain which reduce background noise. Since it is so close to your mouth, you may need some pop filter.
Otherwise, you may need headset since those are right next to your mouth but voice quality may not be as good as USB mic.

Yeah I have. However instead of continuously picking up the AC noise, it only picks it up when I speak which people have found annoying. My AC isn't even that loud, it's like a gentle fan. I was truly shocked when people said they can hear it when even I can't. It just might have to do with the sound field of the Blue Snowball.

As for selling quick, looks like it is going pretty slow. Since people had remote learning and working for over 2 years, so those that need microphone should have one.

Not sure how many people still need one especially entry level one. For some people already got a microphone, seems like either they don't really care about the sound quality or probably looking for better upgrade for those do care about features and quality (like features/quality in over >$100 range kind of USB microphone).

Like better features USB mic can select polar patterns/adjustable Gain button/Mic Monitoring/etc right on the Mic while this one and other entry level one usually can't.

It seems this is better than the snowball, search for some videos on youtube, for $35 is good enough

I have similar problem of room with background noise, mostly literally in back of me. These mics by Razer, also on sale ($79) claim to have a super cardiod pattern, i.e. less likely to pick up noise to side and back. Might be worth considering. Good luck. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09GJXK... az10cnVl

You need a communication noise canceling microphone. These type of microphones are meant to pick up everything. I use a Plantronics wireless headset for work and gaming and it is incredible with it's noise canceling capabilities. I have tested by using the restroom and playing guitar while talking and confirmed the other party didn't hear a thing.

Fwiw, I bought it on the hp sale and have used it a couple of times, and it's noise canceling was pretty decent when recording on the default windows recording application.. it picked up the voice in front of the microphone clearly, but it didn't pickup the tv in the background or people speaking a couple of feet away..that would be good enough for the zoom calls i am on

Um… don't Blue Snowball's have a switch on back to change their pickup patterns?

If you're already using a snowball with the cardioid pattern option, I'm pretty sure this won't be a ton better.

So, the best way to test a microphone is to play a guitar in the restroom eh? Thanks for the awesome protip. Cheers
