Good deal in theory, but the added sugar outweighs the benefits in my opinion.
Total Sugar : 17 grams. Good Lord, how is this marketed as healthy?

Well, if you can process unfermented soy; you may be able to handle artificial sugars as well... of you're under 30, don't drink alcohol, vinegar, or eat salt.

But who needs a healthy gi tract in your golden years, anyway?

Pure Protein bars are 180-200 cals w/ 20g protein, this is a little heavier (220 cals) w/ a bit less protein (14g) but it's still fair if you consider the price ... 20 bars for $6? Wow. But calling out the difference since that will matter for some.

So, if you want a snack and are ok with all the sugar (yikes, so maybe call them protein-energy bars?) look around ... then it's a great deal here. I'll splurge a bit, thanks OP.

I like the Zone Perfect bars as they are very tasty. Yes, abit much on sugar no doubt but with Think! bars getting overly expensive, these will have to do.

The Oatmeal chocolate chunk ones are great tasting and not overly sweet, the Fudge Gram ones taste kinda too sweet IMO but are not terrible.

Think bars are hilariously expensive. I used to live on them at $5.50 a box four months ago. Now they're $11.50. Hope they never sell another bar.

Not a single thing on their page is marketing it as healthy. Nutritious yes, but not the term "healthy." They're pretty transparent about the whole thing. There are even bars they sell that don't have the sugar content included.

This is a pretty quick and easy protein and carb bomb if you need a quick snack during intensive exercises like bike marathons or long hiking. The intended market for these are people who draw up a macro plan for a race or something and need to fill in their necessary carb intake. If you are just trying to hit your protein goals for the day, this probably isn't for you. 220 calories for 14g of protein isn't that great when most bars like Quest are 200 calories/21g protein.

10 for $13, S&S as many as you'd like? Even cheaper than what you were paying.

I'm not a sugar apologist, but just know that foods low in sugar aren't really automatically healthier. White bread, pasta and rice are just as bad even without the sugar. Starch is just a chain of sugar. The glycemic index uses glucose or white bread as a reference food.

If my quick breakfast choice is white toast, a bowl of corn flakes, or this bar, yikes, maybe I lean toward the cereal for the lower saturated fat (if using skim milk) and the milk adds some protein. The sugar free toast is dead last. Obviously, a whole grain cereal would be a better choice. A pre or post workout bowl of cereal isn't exactly convenient though, which is the ideal spot for a bar like this.

There really is no such thing. To minimize sugar, get yourself some almonds and dried tart cherries. Even then, nuts are high in fat, and all dried fruit has sugar. Don't binge.
