I bought the HyperX Cloud Alpha S headset for $101 + tax.

This is a great price! $63.90 + tax.

HOWEVER, if you have the money and play 3rd person shooters I would get the Sennheiser 560S and a ModMic add-on microphone. The directional sound quality and general sound quality is noticably superior.

I have HyperX Cloud Alpha Pro wired and they're very comfortable, sound is not bad, detechable MIC is excellent with noise cancelling. Gamestop has it for $69.99 on their website

Don't buy these for the 7.1 surround, it is truly trash. However, these headphones are extremely comfortable and sound great in regular stereo mode. I returned a set of Corsair Virtuso headphones (~$270) and got a set of these in black instead (~$105) and they are superior headphones in every way possible. Besides gaming and music, I also use these for work calls (around 2 hours a day, but have gone 8-10 hours straight wearing these) and have no complaints, get zero ear discomfort/fatigue from wearing them.

The sound cards are different. The alpha S sound like sh**. I compared them both side by side. Do not buy these. Cloud IIs and cores are way better.

The fact that third party stores had it for the same price makes me think the claim of a pricing error is BS.

What I think happened is that they lowered the price to sell off some extra stock and get some word of mouth publicity. However, the response was overwhelming and they realized they would lose a lot of money so they cancelled all the orders from their website. Then a few days later when they realized the whole think backfired, they offered a "sorry, not sorry" coupon.
