Found this Kreg 720 Pro bundle today at a Lowes in RI marked down with a yellow tag to $119. Regular price $150. Not screaming but I had planned on picking one up anyway and the bonus items were nice. Looks like in store only. YMMV

Why is this already on clearance?
The specific kit posted in OP is a promotional set that includes items not generally part of the package for this jig. Perhaps it's only the promo kits that are being closed out. Plenty of 720 kits available in my area but none of these special promo kits.
It's probably because they've had a few models released in the last few years and with it already being niche market, it's probably not selling well.
When you boil it down it's just drilling a hole into wood. With the high price point it's not really worth "upgrading" for a few knickknack features every time a new model gets released.
Also, you really don't need to use pocket holes very often as an at home DIY and people heavy into woodworking have lots of jointing options.

I'd like to also add that the first generation of these models have problems. People have been speculating that Kreg may try to clear problematic inventory before producing the 2nd interation.
I feel like this is the old price and with inflation it's 150$, but now we are back to the old price because even 120 was high so no one really wanted this obscure tool at 150
Bought this a month or so ago at full price for a project. Drilling 250+ pocket holes this was amazing.
Thanks, this is the kind of comment that helps. I have the Kreg 320 and am planning on making bathroom vanities, kitchen cabinets, outdoor furniture, etc basically lots of stuff; I considered the 520 would be the best for me because its so portable and you can move around the longer spans and planks vs moving the pieces to the rig... Does this one work portably like that too?

The "wings" detach so you do not have to use it clamped to a bench. I used it for a few holes not attached to bench and it did fine, but it shines when clamped using the wings and sliding boards thru.
I just did a bunch of research on pocket hole jigs and the design of this 720 has quite a few drawbacks compared to the older jigs. Mainly a flimsy design of the wings and locking mechanism and not being able to remove drilling jig and use it separately.
After debate I ended up with the Massca M1 from Home Depot for $89. All aluminum design and has the features of the old Kreg design

All stores near me confirm your price.
