I've done it several times with orgain products. Always the same result.
Cost per gram of protein for their protein powders is high. Lots of extra ingredients.
If you buy it, it's not a pure protein powder for gainz play - there are products that do that better for less money.
It's because you want the extra stuff like the micronutrients, organic, non GMO, flavor, etc...

No, it's not vegan protein. Vegan protein is fine. It's what I call foo-foo-fancy-vegan protein.
They take cheap proteins like pea, soy, and rice that in their raw forms, cost far less than whey. Then, they mix them together and try to convince you that their formulation is super-special and worth a premium price over whey.
Some people believe that and buy it - which is fine. They may like the flavor or feel they are doing something special by eating superfood extracts and multivitamin supplements. But, from a pure protein standpoint, they are just expensive and inefficient.
I don't mind vegan protein, but I expect it to cost less than whey. If it costs more, I feel like someone is trying to screw me. But, I'm a cheapskate - not everyone feels that way.
