Tried it in the app for jackass, got the same error code. Tried it for marry me, got the message "promo freenow -$1.99" Bingo... unless you wanted jackass 🙄

Why are Redbox codes suddenly given away so often? Previously, they were rare. Is it slow season regarding rentals/new releases?

They probably are loosing a great deal of money since there are so many streaming apps now with good stuff and several even get newer releases. HBO max has the new batman. Why pay for it at redbox when you can watch it on a service you already paid for.

Obviously this doesn't work for every movie, but when you are looking for something to watch and had nothing in mind before you stated browsing, you go to your app. Plus redbox on demand rentals are like $6 a piece. That is a month of red box for 2 dollars more.

The losers started making tons of movies not allowed to work for free night codes OR even using your points on! Some others I started to rent at ne point were Antlets and Jungle Cruise.... neither lets you sue the code or points.

they haven't announced anything but so far this has only been limited to movies distributed by disney (which includes the two you mentioned, one of which was previously a searchlight (fox) title before they got bought by disney).

i just tried this code in my cart on death on the nile and jungle cruise, and it worked, so it should work on other disney-distributed titles, as well. tried it on the 355 and it worked too, so i'm guessing you have to have an account, to maybe deter unlimited guest checkout at the kiosk usage (since you can't guest checkout online, afaik)

About a couple of months a ago I was trying to use a promo code to rent 'The Last Duel' and got the code not valid error. I ended up chatting with Redbox support. The support gave me a list of 20ish movies that I cannot use promo code on. So it appears that the current free promo code may have an exclusion list too. You may need to contact Redbox support if you want to know the exclusion list.

I don't remember if I tried this code or not, but just a couple days ago I used some code and it wouldn't work. was logged in and it was on desktop.
