No, the 3060 Ti is not much faster. Even with its wider bus, It's only 12-14% faster overall than the 6600XT according to Techpowerup's relative performance chart.

At the current prices, the 6600xt is a much better deal. The 3060 Ti is about $500 at the moment ($100 over msrp), which is over 25% more expensive than the 6600xt at $380. Considering the difference is only 12-14%, the 6600XT provides much better dollar per performance at current prices.

Nah. That article assumes very different prices for the 6600xt vs 3060ti (eg. If both are at msrp). At the current prices, the 6600xt is a much better deal. The 3060 Ti is not much faster. It's only 12-14% faster overall than the 6600Xt according to Techpowerup's relative performance chart.
However, the 3060 Ti is about $500 at the moment ($100 over msrp), which is over 25% more expensive than the 6600xt at $380. The 6600XT provides much better dollar per performance at currebt prices.

Aren't 3060 Ti's well over $500? Better still to get the 6700 XT for $480.

3060Ti, Much faster and uses a 256bit bus.

The 6600 XT suffers a substantial downgrade to the memory subsystem, dropping from a 192-bit wide bus to a 128-bit memory bus, a 33% reduction which means that despite using the same 16 Gbps GDDR6 memory, the bandwidth has also been reduced by 33%, dropping from 384 GB/s to just 256 GB/s.

If it's the same price, go for 3060Ti, else, one would need at least another $200

If both are at MSRP - $380 for 6600xt and $400 for 3060 Ti, then get the 3060 ti. At current prices, get the 6600XT.

That Techspot article is only relevant if both are at MSRP prices because the 3060Ti only performs slightly better (12-14% better overall). Right now the 6600 XT is at MSRP but the 3060 Ti is still $100 over MSRP...making the 6600xt the much better deal at current prices.

Look at the Techpowerup article that shows overall relative performance - that is much more useful right now.
