So I've chatted with the Amazon help folks before when they said they 'couldn't' credit you the difference.
The trick?
Just be persistent. Put on your non-racist Karen hat and ask to speak with their supervisor.... in the nicest way.
Explain that it would just be cheaper for everyone if they just give you the credit.
I got this TV for 699. I asked them to match the 654 price. I got the 'no we cant'. I was nice. Kept at it... and finally got the difference.
Don't take no for an answer. Be nice. And maybe you get lucky w/ the next rep.
Because Sony can charge a premium, and on Hisense TVs you save money on things like design, ease of use, and quality control. Basically: the Hisense can display a better image most cases, but the user experience may suffer.
Best price it's ever been I believe (by a few dollars)... However considering it's a 2020 model I may hold out a bit longer to see if it goes sub $600. I had 2021's model, U8G for a few months but couldn't get the motion right now matter how I tinkered with the settings. I just ordered the Vizio pq9 from Costco for $800, but haven't heard great things about Vizio lately

How does a TV like this beat out most scores on rtings against my Sony x900h. Yet the Sony is $400 or more? I know my Sony has hdmi 2.1 but that's about it as far as specs on paper.

$10 less than the last deal that ended a few weeks ago. I picked one up then, and so far so good. No problems with the viewing angle in a normal living room.

If you are a gamer, this doesn't have VRR, u7g does.

I have the 55" U6gr and the 65 H9G.

The H9G is a better picture. Super inky blacks.

But I don't game and only stream so I didn't care that the H9G is only HDMI 2.0 and no VRR.

I just got the 55UGR during the Hisense $100 giftcard march madness deal b/c it was effectively $299 (399-100) and the best TV value for my bedroom TV.

This TV at ~$650 is one stellar panel for < $700.

Bought this yesterday for $688.12 with Friday morning delivery. Contacted Amazon for a price adjustment, and they refused. They did offer a $25 Amazon promo credit, but I declined--the difference is $34.41 before tax, and about $37 after. My only option seems to be to cancel/rebuy. But...I tried to cancel and they said it is too late to cancel, so now I get to refuse delivery if I catch the delivery person; otherwise, it will be a return. The funny part? If I order it again right now, delivery will be Friday, anyway. I won't reorder until the 1st is canceled/returned, so if the price jumps back up, they lose the sale. Sometimes, Amazon's policies don't make much financial sense. All they needed to do was adjust the invoice and it would have been fine. Instead, they will finish processing the order, load it on a delivery van, deliver it to my house, and if I catch them in time--load it back on the van and take it back to the warehouse. If I don't catch them on Friday morning, they will have to make a return trip to pick it up.

And of course, once this is done, assuming the price doesn't go up, they will get to repeat the process when I order it a 2nd time. All because they wouldn't make a $35 price adjustment.

I just ended up returning and rebuying. Made them eat the shipping cost for their dumb policy
