You are correct. This is not powerful enough to remove lugnuts and wasn't made for that purpose. Since your willing to wait, the Ryobi Impact that is powerful enough uses a 1/2" drive and I believe is rated at 400ft/lbs of torque. During the year this tool is coupled with a Ryobi battery and charger for $99 at Home Depot. Ryobi Days is coming in May (I think) so there is a good chance this tool may show up on sale.

Seems like a great deal. I have the Ryobi Compact Impact driver and drill. They are definitely compact in tool size light in weight. I never knew they had impact wrench in the same "compact series" till now. Decisions decisions….lol

Good deal, but I'm going to hold out for one that can remove lugnuts from my truck. This one seems to be not quite strong enough.

I've been watching this for a bit, and a lot of commenters say that this one handles their vehicle's lug nuts well.

I think P262 is the model you are talking about, look for brushless 1/2 and you should be good. The old model was P261 and I believe not brushless.

This is a great deal. I have the P262 1/2 4-mode brushless for lugnuts and this one (PSBIW01KMX) for everything else. I used it last weekend to remove rusty T50 seat bolts and seat belts. Worked great. The feature I like is the Auto mode, on this and the P262. At the time I purchased this, I was on the fence to buy the previous model 3/8 3-speed non brushless P263. Glad I didn't.

The new brushless 1/2 is rated at 600lbs of torque. I have the non brushless at its 300lbs which is still more than enough.

Looks like it will remove lug nuts (up to the rated 160lb ft of torque). Check out this video at minute 10 for his test: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wP8_MLGjkw

I also have the 1/2" brushless impact wrench and that thing is a beast! I am picking this one up to use in areas where I need a more compact wrench. Once I receive the tool, I definitely plan on testing on my lugs (the highest torqued lug nuts is 129lbt ft) to see if it can be my all around impact wrench for working on the car.

Sounds about right. The P261 I was referring to has 300 ft/lbs and the brushless P262 has 600 ft/lbs. Ryobi also makes another brushless impact wrench that produces over 1100 ft/lbs. so technically it competes with Dewalt and Milwaukees high torque brushless impacts not only in specs but in pricing also! I have the Dewalt version that I use mostly and picked up the Ryobi P261 last year for $59 as a bare tool. I keep the Ryobi tool in my vehicle and to loan out to neighbors.

Just received mine--it does remove lug nuts. Made a quick video comparing vs. the 1/2" brushless impact wrench (P262): https://youtu.be/Q6FRgZOvqwc

This is plenty powerful enough to remove most lug nuts. Youtube is your friend. My Ridgid 1/4 impact driver (not wrench) removes the lug nuts off our families cars with ease and that's rated lower than this.

Hope you guys are torqueing your lug nuts with a proper torque wrench. I'd be a bit suspicious if you can take them off with 1/4" impact driver or even this 3/8", after 10-15K miles of driving.

Ridgid impact drivers are right about this same level I thought? 2000inlbs => 160 ftlbs. Although I have had bolts that my Ridgid could drive in but needed a bar to get them back out.

I have the older brushed 3/8 impact rated at 300 ft lbs and it didn't remove lugs for me, so I had to buy the 1/2"
