Note that this kit is factory blemished which is essentially new. All the factory blemished Ryobi tools that I've purchased from DTO isn't blemished and is in their retail factory boxes. It comes with a full 3-year Ryobi warranty.

You are correct. This is not powerful enough to remove lugnuts and wasn't made for that purpose. Since your willing to wait, the Ryobi Impact that is powerful enough uses a 1/2" drive and I believe is rated at 400ft/lbs of torque. During the year this tool is coupled with a Ryobi battery and charger for $99 at Home Depot. Ryobi Days is coming in May (I think) so there is a good chance this tool may show up on sale.

This is plenty powerful enough to remove most lug nuts. Youtube is your friend. My Ridgid 1/4 impact driver (not wrench) removes the lug nuts off our families cars with ease and that's rated lower than this.
Ridgid impact drivers are right about this same level I thought? 2000inlbs => 160 ftlbs. Although I have had bolts that my Ridgid could drive in but needed a bar to get them back out.

I have the older brushed 3/8 impact rated at 300 ft lbs and it didn't remove lugs for me, so I had to buy the 1/2"

Hope you guys are torqueing your lug nuts with a proper torque wrench. I'd be a bit suspicious if you can take them off with 1/4" impact driver or even this 3/8", after 10-15K miles of driving.

Yes, I have my torque wrench calibrated with 2 different and electronic torque measuring devices and it is within +/-3% accuracy. Take a look at the vid…it just takes the compact impact wrench a bit longer to remove the lug nuts compared to the full size.

Don't know why lug nuts is such a debate for the 3/8" impact wrench when there are multiple YT vids that confirm that it can remove lugs. Keep in mind that the brushless models have more power than the brushed. Also, having being able to remove lug nuts that are fastened at 82ft lbs is at 1/2 the rated capacity of the wrench so it's not a stretch that it can do it.

Not sure why this is such a great deal compared to other current deals. New Ridgid hammer drill, impact driver, 2ah Max and 4ah Max bat for only $123. And with the LSA. Its worth far more than the extra $33. Plus, FS delivered in two days.

Ok, yellow fans can attack Smilie btw - I do own a Ryobi tool, using a Ridgid badapter, so not anti Ryobi.

Thanks, I'm just taking into consideration dry lugs on an alloy wheel driving 15K miles in mixed, winter conditions, I'd suspect the breakaway torque is a good bit higher than 85ft/lb you would normally torque to, but is it in range of a 125 ft/lb rated 1/4" driver.

I have an air compressor and 1/2" impact, but I'd like this 3/8" for smaller tasks.

Those are different tools. The $79 deals for rigid impact wrenches are no longer available

Just be careful buying their products - know that if there is an issue, you have to take it to an authorized repair shop (In my case over an hour away).

Yes, and no. The Ridgid impact driver in the hammer drill kit with the included 4ah Max bat kiks arse when used with a cheap hex socket adapter. Best of both worlds. Driver and wrench.

This is using only a 2ah bat.

Seriously? You must be joking. A 1/4'' hex drive?

Not joking one "bit". My Ridgid impact driver (and many other brands) will take off the lug nuts on my car, my wife's car and my daughters car. I rotate the tires every few months and also swap rims/tires for the winter. I've used my impact driver before I bought my impact wrench and also a couple weeks ago when I changed out the winter rims/tires for the stock rims on my wife's car because my brother-in-law has my impact wrench.
