Damn, I just paid $33 for 3 of these bottles at Costco.

Edit: The Costco bottles appear to be higher strength (0.7% vs. 0.2% Walmart), so it seems like Costco is still a good deal.

Walmart
($2.594/ml) / (0.2g antihistimine/ml) = $12.97/g antihistimine

Costco
($5.065/ml) / (0.7g antihistimine/ml) = $7.24/g antihistimine

Very good deal and works great during allergy season. As mentioned, this is like $15 by itself. It was much more back when it was a prescription but thankfully that patent expired.

My optometrist recommended this brand (pataday) for contact wearers.

Just be aware these are not the extra strength ones, not sure if it matters to you or not. My wife suffers from dry eye and these are not as effective as the extra strength ones for her.

Great price. I prefer the 0.1% version, but might give this another try.

There are the strengths: 0.1%, 0.2%, and 0.7%.

$16.99, not $12.97. Nevermind, Walmart.com sold out. Price from a third-party seller.

Alaways bottles are bigger and easier to dispensed. As far as effectiveness I dont notice a difference.

It's a different active ingredient. Pataday = olopatadine. Alaway = Ketotifen.

Personally, Pataday works way better for me. But you should test them both to see what works best for you. Oh, and there are generic versions available for both, so you might be able to save a few bucks once you pick one you like.

Eye doc here. Mild allergies alaway vs pataday doesn't matter as much. Pataday is more effective and patients report less side effects. At this price, it's a no brainer.

I prescribed these for years before they went OTC (finally). Your best bet is Pataday Extra Strength. Singe drop dosing, more effective and longer lasting than the lower concentration. Ketotifen (zaditor, alaway) is decent, but it's twice daily dosing and for most people olopatadine is better. An option equal in my mind to Pataday is Lastacaft.
