For the incoming "does this work for PS5?" comments:

No.

It won't work, because it's Gen 3. Not because of the speed, which is actually plenty and wouldn't be at all noticeable compared to the original SSD that's in the PS5. Anyone who says it needs to be at least 5500 doesn't know the difference between the words "required" and "recommended."

TEKQ Cube TB 3 enclosure. Not cheap, but they work great. I use one with my iMac (Intel) as the boot drive. Very, very snappy. It's small, bus powered, and since it's all aluminum, it disperses heat well.
