How does this compare with previous sale prices for Vader? It seems like Oculus knows I just got a quest, because there have been a bunch of deals lately. Zuck wants more of my bucks.
been waiting for a vader deal. I'll bite at 1/2 off. worth it to play all 3 and the kids will enjoy.

I have Tales and I think it is great. Really cool to be in the star wars universe. Especially once you meet some of the characters. Bar area in game is very well done as well- it is a replica of the Galaxy's Edge theme park @ Disney, so was super cool to recognize it when I got there.
It's half off. Reviews look good. Short though but people seem to play it again and want another game from them.

Short, but worth it at this price. One of the best games for quest and you get the DLC, which was not out at last years sale.

This is perfect as i jut got my refub 128gb quest. The star wars series is reviewed well but seems to be short (for the price). So at 50% off that's perfect!
Just played the 1st one, it's rather short, lots of fun but short.

I have not. Good?
I think Super Hot and Pistol Whip are awesome. They are a bit short. But at least the Super Hot demo is free, if you want to try it.

I was going to pick this up but unfortunately it looks like Facebook is abandoning the Rift S because apparently this is exclusive to the Quest.

I am telling you seriously this is the BEST game there is on the quest 2. The IG88 mission is awesome. All of the DLC is awesome. The graphics are the best I have seen on the platform. The ILM guys took all the stuff they learned on the Vader game and applied it to this. By the way I did beat all the Vader games. They are good but Tales is awesome. As a side not if you go to the parks a lot (as I do) this really adds a lot to the Galaxies edge park which is something I never thought I would say. The droid builder shop is an example. It really is awesome integration of world building
Hi praise, I'll buy Tales next. For the record though, I think Half Life: Alyx is the best game I've ever played on my Quest 2, although I do acknowledge you need a separate gaming PC to play that.

Damn you Slickdeals! I just spent $30 on the Oculus Fanatical Bundle and now I have to buy both Vader and Tales. Where is my self control? Oh well, both are currently downloading.

Any recommendations for the Fanatical bundle? What did you buy?

Anyone know a workaround to buy a bundle as a gift? The option doesn't exist except on single apps for some reason....

I suggest you put the VR set back in the box after you finish Vader (all 3 hours of it), and return it or sell it. That is unless you have a high end PC to attach it to or really enjoy Wii shovelware type games.

Boy, it really sucks to be you, doesn't it. So miserable. And yet you can't just walk away rather than spend all your extra time that you have now that you've spent your 3 hours playing the Vader pack. You feel compelled to troll anybody that might enjoy it more than you. My hunch is you're bitter because you paid more for it.

When are they ever going to make a decent lengthy Star Wars game for VR? This crap has no appeal. Squadrons sucked a$$.
In fact, I haven't found a single reason to own an Occulus yet. Nor any other VR headset for that matter. And I was really excited about VR gaming at first. Other than a few (RE4, Walking Dead, maybe Cities VR), it all looks like Wii shovelware to me. Vader Immortal. Immortal for all of the 3 hours of it.
LMAO I have to admit I felt the same way you feel. I bought the Rift 2 or whatever for my 8 year old son and he thought it was trash. Every game seemed like some cartoony rhythm game. That being said, given the responses you have received I bought these games and that Humble Bundle deal too. To be honest I didn't even know about the software to hook up to my gaming computer until I started reading the threads. Stuff has been sitting in my bedroom collecting dust. I do see why having to own a gaming pc makes things frustrating.

Last Call dlc is 5.40 if you buy the bundle and already own the base game of Tales from Galaxy Edge.

Alyx does look very good... But you need a high end PC also. I agree there are good games to play on Oculus... Provided you have a nice computer. I dont. I have a laptop from 2015 with Intel hd520 graphics... Lol.
I'm talking about games for Occurs that do t require a P. C. Also. Walking Dead, RE4, and maybe Cities VR. Most everything else is simple party type games or 2-3 hour adventure games. Once games like Alyx come to a VR headset without needing a PC or game console... Then I'll pay attention.
Just an FYI as there is so much confusion about this. You do NOT need a high end PC. My VR rig is a 6th gen i5 processor / 16GB of RAM / Nvidia 1060 3GB. That was the budget card from 6 years ago. I stream wirelessly through the basic xFinity router/modem across a 4000sqft house. No issues whatsoever playing Alyx. Better rig, hardwired from the streaming machine, etc would allow for better detail but it is awesome as is. 2 friends have bought a Quest after demoing Alyx at my place.

I can't speak to a budget laptop from 7 years ago. Just commenting on the fact that requirements to stream from a PC are often vastly exaggerated. We've played many games on our VR more than 2-3 hours. They may not be for everyone but for many folks they are plenty. I've also found that I simply can't play VR games in stretches longer than an hour. So even a 10 hour game is something that will take me several weeks to get through.

That's impressive. We have Meteonet 1gig /1gig and I can't even play Xbox streamed from the console 35 feet away with one wall in between. I even placed another eero 6 beacon in my room that's only 3 feet away. Still lags and drops me. We have Eeero 6 pro modem too. I finally sold my Xbox because there is always someone on the TV in the living room, so I never got to play it. No space for a TV in our room, and the wife wouldn't allow it anyway.

Ended up pulling the trigger on Vader and tales. Just "played" episode 1 and 2. Even with expecting them to short from reading this thread it's like wow, incredibly short. The whole thing is an more just an"experience", think some else mentioned it, but I wouldn't even clasify the whole thing all three episodes as a complete game. We'll see about tales.
