Thanks & Repped! OP!

I was looking at this just yesterday evening and one color was $72 and the others were $78. Great find with all 3 at the same & lower price.

I haven't seen it... what's it about?

(I actually don't know if I've ever seen a FitBit commercial... we may watch different channels)

Well it was like an old SNL "It's Pat" family reunion. Tranny strippers, glitter, and more indoctornation than I would ever want. All from Hulu. I pay for that crap...yuck.

Will the price get any better?

Should I get this or charge 5? I only need the heart rate monitor. I won't be using it to make a payment.

Can I turn off the gps on the Charge 5?

I wore an Inspire HR for several years before having some issues with charging it and chose to upgrade to a Sense on a Black Friday deal. But I considered and liked the Charge 5 as well.

The charge 5 is almost twice the price ($128.95 today on Amazon) and much larger compared to the Inspire. It has a brighter, color screen, but lower battery life. As you mention it has some additional features as well. I think you can set the Charge 5's GPS to use your phone's instead, but I'm not sure. However, it sounds like the Inspire 2 would fit your needs.

Is there another brand without this subscription issue and readily tracks heart monitors rate?
Something simple and sweet?

I've never paid for the premium subscription and the heart rate tracking works fine without it. I know there are other, cheaper, brands but haven't researched their capabilities.

A HR monitor is all I am looking for as well. I tried a cheap fitness band at Walmart shipped from China and the APP for it was so horrible I had to return it. And even looking at the mid-price bands like Amazfit none of the APPs get very good reviews. So I decided I would wait until the Fitbit Inspire 2 gets below $60 again. I also currently use Google Fit so I wanted something to sync with that.

Can you replace the battery on this unit?

I also came across the Garmin - vivosmart 4 Activity Tracker - the battery can not be replaced AFAIK - it says so on the Amz page.

Update - Can anyone confirm this:
Garmin seems ot say otherwise:
https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/w...nt%20cover.

Update 2:
The above is for Vivofit 4. No HR tracker!
The other is Vivosmart 4 - battery is rechargeable and not replaceable,

Update 3:
Vivosmart 4: "Watch my video, the HR data is available, but will not be shown until you connect to the internet. Watch options cannot be changed until you connect to the internet"

It was $59.99 last year over the holidays so I figure it will be again or replaced with a new model. I've been exercising all my life without one Wink

I bought Inspire 2 - my first fitness watch.
The fonts are readable at home. At the gym its a bit hard and feel small. If you choose an app, HR, after a while it resets so you need to move it again and HR has dropped during the time frame.
