I actually own this flat iron. I bought it from Ulta Beauty years ago, and I think I paid right around $99. Right now Ulta's price is $79.99. IMO, $40 is pretty slick.
Edit: side note, does anyone remember when Ulta Beauty was Ulta3?
When I was a kid, I was all excited about the Ulta3 store near me. It was out in the suburbs across the street from a mall (now closed) and next door to a Service Merchandise (also closed). I'm trying to remember what the storefront signage looked like for Ulta3 - I think the 3 was in a bubble, maybe? (It's bugging me now that I sort of remember the logo, but I can't find a photo online to confirm my memory!)
Thanks! Got one from Walmart. Don't buy from Amazon, it could be a fake.
It's sold from the brand's own CHI storefront on Amazon, and it's is also shipped and sold by Amazon as opposed to a third party shipment. So it should be safe.

Ok, it should be safe to order from Amazon if this is the case.
Rookie to flat irons...this doesn't seem to have a dial with heat settings? Seem to remember my hairdresser saying NOT to use it on the highest setting.

I was able to zoom in on pictures and this does NOT have a heat setting dial. It seems you have to upgrade to the G2 professional model (which looks the same as this model so probably dupes people) in order to control heat setting.

According to one review on Walmart this does not have temperature controls and just uses the highest temperature setting.
