This deal price is $58.99 lower than the than the next best available price from a reputable merchant, with prices starting at $77.99 at the time of this posting.

Don't be fooled, this was $28 before. So not an incredible deal like it seems.

Yeah, Staples likely bought a ton of these, as the price keeps dropping - it was $44 in Nov-21 and $23.45 last month. B&H Video was selling this thermometer for $139.95 at one point (now OOS).

I'm not sure what use case this would have. These types of thermometers are fairly inaccurate so any home users should stick with the standard ones. A business would probably already have a thermometer by now if they care to check temps.

Perhaps that is why these are so discounted.
