Qualifying purchases are purchases for goods and services minus returns and other credits. Once you add the offer to your eligible Card, you must spend a minimum of $40 in one or more qualifying U.S. purchases by the last day of each calendar month to be considered eligible for a one-time statement credit. You may receive the one-time statement credit, up to 4 times (for up to 4 months of monthly minimum spend) during the offer period. Your ability to redeem will reset on the first day of each calendar month and end on the last day of the same calendar month until 8/31/2022. Limit of 1 statement credit per Card Member per monthly spend and 4 statement credits per Card Member per offer period (total of $80). A "qualifying purchase" means one or more U.S. purchases made in a calendar month with your enrolled Card on or before 8/31/2022 totaling at least $40.

I am being denied the promotion incentive for $20 on each tank of gas during a push they did to get cardholders to use their card more. I used the card a lot for little bit - more than was required to get the offer. At first they denied all my purchases - I think it was up to 3 or 4 tanks. After calling in to complain - I was told I didn't sign up for the offer. I not only signed up once in the first email, but I attempted to sign up twice when I got a second email a month later - and the screen said that I was ALREADY signed up. Months went by with no money or credits showing up. So after the first call to WELLS FARGO who is actually the secret-ish provider of the card said no and cut me off - I went to the executive offices to escalate my issue. They said 7-10 days to respond. Ok. I later get a person from the Executive Offices calling me to ask me what brands of gas stations are there in Texas? I couldn't believe it. Then he told me to just find the information and send it in. This was crazy - they had ALL of the information in my statements already. Long, long story short - the Executive Offices called today offering me just one of the $20 credits for gas. The person said - again - I didn't sign up to the original offer - which their own website replied to me that I, in fact, did. Then she said - I can only give you the one time $20 offer because you used grocery store or supercenter gas stations instead of independent gas stations. I never knew that was part of the deal. If it was then I am sure it is buried in 2 point birdseed light type somewhere. Anyway - I asked for a copy of the original offer to be sent to me - she said she wasn't sure that Wells Fargo even kept copies of all the offers or not. I assured her that LEGALLY they have to. Doubtful they will send me one - so I will have to get via other means - we will see. It's interesting that the only 2 times in 40 years of being a credit card carrier the only 2 problems I have ever had with promotional offers being reneged on are with WELLS FARGO.
I feel that I have been cheated out of what I was supposed to get. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY OF THEIR CARDS. If you want an AmEx - just get it from AmEx. If you want a Dillards card - just get it from Dillards. This whole thing has been a waste of my time and I am extremely unhappy. By the way - the Executive Offices person who called me said that there were a lot of people that had problems with this particular promotion. That really tells you something.
