The Hub Max doesn't just offer a larger screen over the 2nd generation Hub. Hub Max offers video calling and a Nest Cam built in along with the larger screen. The 2nd generation Hub offers no camera functionality at all but does offer Sleep Sensing which the Max does not. There are additional differences two but those are the primary distinctions between the two.

CVS frequently sends 40% off coupons to ExtraCare members (free to sign up) and sells the Hub Max so when the stars align (you both have a coupon and the Hub Max is in stock online or for pickup near you) you can get it for less this way.

Yeah - honestly that is not a value add to me at all. Not interested in having a camera in my kitchen or video call from a static device - the regular hub just looks too small in the kitchen.

i've been toying with the idea of getting one of these for my kitchen for at least two months now, but the videos I've seen of it make it look like there's a ton of input lag and relatively slow
does anybody own one of these that can speak to how bad of a tablet it is?
