I will tell you the opposite. Things were fine for years for my two lines, too.

But, then text messages randomly stopped appearing, and down the rabbit hole of TERRIBLE tech support that never responded to messages, never called back, never figured it out. So, I had to change to another MVNO. Then, Red Pocket said they couldn't remove the carrier lock on my iPhone - a total lie - until I went to the BBB. Then, suddenly they learned how. Of course, I was without that phone for weeks until the magical epiphany.

Just do yourself a favor and avoid these clowns. There are many other, much better, choices.
For those who are looking at some reviews for this, I moved my wife's # over to RedPocket about 5 years ago on this very same plan. She is on the GSMA plan and has had no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend it.
Hello! You'll have the flexibility of a 90-day activation period, and should this be the same plan you are renewing, you can stack now.

However, if the plans are not the same, then the existing plan will be forfeited.

I highly recommend Visible service instead. Party pay (simply a click of few buttons) puts you at $25 a month for real unlimited. It does get data throttled in major congestion just like Redpocket CDMA but on road trips and camping it's been very solid.

Unlimited 5mbit (OOKLA says 6-10Mbit) hotspot saved my butt when I moved and had no internet for a month when I was closing on my house. One visible phone did hotspot for the Xbox and one hotspot to a laptop. Netflix/Sling/YouTube was seamless on the Xbox the entire time. It's good enough to play Rocket League and UFC games on, so as backup Internet it's perfect.

Unless something has changed recently, the activation code is sent via email only. But u will get a red pocket advertisement card in USPS after a week. Even if u don't get the code via email, u can reach out to red pocket support to get the activation code by providing the ebay order id.

They usually send the code through email within a week, maybe 2 because I was told by Red Pocket themselves, it's a very busy time. The SIM card kit arrives in the mail box within a week.

Appreciate the input.. I'm currently debating between the two and leaning towards Visible due to the unlock period in case I am not satisfied with the service.

I have several lines with RP for several years now. My devices are always the latest iPhone devices. I have had two major issues that are worth noting. First is that they disable text messaging without warning if you use group texting, this a particular issue that if you are part of a group text message group that isn't all iMessage and therefore uses SMS/MMS, you will be shutdown. Support can and will fix it, but its always temporary and when you escalate the issue they will refer you to their ToS that says excessive texting isn't allowed. I don't know what excessive is and they won't define it but I am simply using it for normal communications that have never had this issue on other carriers.

It took about 6-12 months to get this fully resolved but has not been an issue for at least the past year now.

My second issue is still an active issue and I've been working with escalated support on it since January. I switched from CDMA (limited up to 8GB) to GSMA this year to move up to 22GB. GSMA on RP is a nightmare for me because I am constantly losing data connectivity. My devices will say 5G or LTE but have no connectivity whatso ever for several minutes, and then randomly work again. The reliability of the service is so bad that I now ensure I have my work phone with me so I can hotspot myself when RP GSMA decides to not provide data services. I really hope to get this resolved but I have very little confidence in their support. The only real option they provided me so far was to switch back to CDMA but only at 8GB without any refund for a difference which I may have to take if we can't get this solved because what good is 22GB when you can barley use it due to limited data services.

TLDR; Know the service limits and if you want to go with RP, stick with CDMA. Their GSMA services and support are horrific at resolving real problems.

Just a heads up.

If your stacking on top of an existing plan you could run into issues. I did this about half way through my plan when it went on sale last time. I had lots of issues with losing provision on the system. It took me/red pocket about 2 months to get it fixed. I would lose service about every two weeks and need to chat with them to get it fixed.

Finally they took the 2nd yearly plan off and told me the system would renew automatically at my current plans end date. I was told you can't stack yearlong service plans prior to 90 days before your current plan expires or it causes system issues.

My year ends tomorrow and the new year should start automatically. I saved my screenshots from chat just incase a problem arises. Hopefully everything works as it should.

Edit: both plans were the same plans.

I recently renewed my 3 lines on this plan through ebay, GSMA/ATT. I did not get an email for a few weeks. I contacted them and found out that they sent the email to ebay messaging. That was odd.

I am on my 3rd or 4th year of annual service of GSMA on android. I upgraded phones a few years back. I switched sim cards and I think I chatted with them to correct some issue and have been pretty happy with there service. I/we are light users.

Same experience. 7 lines on RP Verizon for 4 plus years with no issues. Loved them. But since October, I've been in service purgatory. NO voicemail on one line since October, hotspots, visual voicemail, and "not really unlimited phone service" randomly turns off and I have to spend HOURS on hold each line to reactivate or try to correct. Customer service has been incompetent and down right rude—deliberately disconnected my chat once when I told them that I'd already tried their "fix" 5 times before and it would not work to try a sixth time.

I'm looking to switch as soon as my contract is up, but maybe earlier. It's that bad.

Anyone know when they will have Verizon 5G coverage? I've been with them for 2 years but only with 4G

One problem with visible:it's not normal throttling.

With most mvno the throttling is just a lower data priority. Visible sends all of your data thru a server. So expect >1 second lag times and zero throughout during high congestion. Not simply 100kbps, but 0.

There is a big difference between "can't watch Netflix" and "can't get any messages" while you are in a busy area
