I will tell you the opposite. Things were fine for years for my two lines, too.

But, then text messages randomly stopped appearing, and down the rabbit hole of TERRIBLE tech support that never responded to messages, never called back, never figured it out. So, I had to change to another MVNO. Then, Red Pocket said they couldn't remove the carrier lock on my iPhone - a total lie - until I went to the BBB. Then, suddenly they learned how. Of course, I was without that phone for weeks until the magical epiphany.

Just do yourself a favor and avoid these clowns. There are many other, much better, choices.
For those who are looking at some reviews for this, I moved my wife's # over to RedPocket about 5 years ago on this very same plan. She is on the GSMA plan and has had no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend it.
Hello! You'll have the flexibility of a 90-day activation period, and should this be the same plan you are renewing, you can stack now.

However, if the plans are not the same, then the existing plan will be forfeited.

I highly recommend Visible service instead. Party pay (simply a click of few buttons) puts you at $25 a month for real unlimited. It does get data throttled in major congestion just like Redpocket CDMA but on road trips and camping it's been very solid.

Unlimited 5mbit (OOKLA says 6-10Mbit) hotspot saved my butt when I moved and had no internet for a month when I was closing on my house. One visible phone did hotspot for the Xbox and one hotspot to a laptop. Netflix/Sling/YouTube was seamless on the Xbox the entire time. It's good enough to play Rocket League and UFC games on, so as backup Internet it's perfect.
Another option is Hello Mobile (T-Mobile network) which is $20/line/mo for unlimited lines when you have two or more lines.

Don't walk away from this. Run.

Brought a new plan to RP in February. Absolutely should have been warned off when that took multiple phone calls.

Reps claimed the plan was no good. Hang up after long frustrating conversation. Rinse & repeat several times. Rep who actually knew how to do his job said he couldn't see any reason for it when he eventually set me up.

We had a discussion about the 5G thing before I let him activate the plan. He told me my phone would be fine. I just needed a new sim which arrived two days later.

My bad. I didn't actually go to install it until the original sim stopped working a month later. "If it ain't broke don't fix it." isn't always the best strategy.

Sim wouldn't activate online. Needed to call to activate it. Forget chat & no response to emails. I sat for as long as 5 hrs on hold without talking to anyone. Got disconnected repeatedly. Multiple hang ups when I finally did get thru.

Ten days without phone service. Finally Got to rep who said my phone was no longer on the good list (which had supposed changed after 5G went live).

Did I want to switch networks?

She basically said the service mightn't be as good. But it was the only solution available to my phone.

Okay. So five days until sim arrived. Five days before I could get thru to activate it. All service-free of course.

After all this, suddenly they said they didn't have my plan available for the new network. I was told I could either buy a new plan or buy a new phone. No compensation offered.

I went thru days of waiting on hours' long hold to be told this over & over by supervisors as well as reps. No matter what anyone had told me previously. They had my money & tfb for me.

Many calls later I finally got through to someone who I got to use a similar plan & comp me the difference. Something they could have & should have done weeks earlier.

Then at tge end if the month I got a text saying my plan would run out in 7 days. Had to go thru it all over again except at least I had a functional phone in the meantime.

If it had just been the 5G timing that would have been one thing & it still would have been more than bad enough. But it was the entire, horrific customer experience beginning with the initial plan activation. Really, really bad.

When I finally got things working I found no difference in networks. My phone service is usually decent. Message delivery is sluggish. Data is s-l-o-w & can drop unpredictably.

I will serve out my time on my current hard fought plan. But then I will sign up with anyone other than Red Pocket.

I also noticed I cannot get on mobile data at the end of my billing cycle, even if I still had 2.5GB data left recently. Could you elaborate what other MVNO you think it's better? I see mixed reviews on Visible (Verizon network) too. Any good MVNO on ATT network? Maybe it's location dependent? TIA.

Does anyone know if the renewal code is through email or USPS? I am planning to put the address of a tax free state.
Thanks
The renewal code will be sent via email within 24-48 business hours from the order date. The subject line should read as follows: Red Pocket Activation Code

Feel free to connect with our eBay team directly should you have any concerns regarding a code.

By no means does my experience indicate that there won't be any issues for others. I just wanted to share my experience with the rest.

Coming from AT&T Prepaid and want to go to RP GSMA. Someone mentioned a Verizon > RP CDMA problem. Am I going to have to port out elsewhere first and then back?

I just keep getting the mint 3 month 10gb new customer sim's that require a new phone number. I give out my google voice # to everyone and that' what they see when I call. I pick an area code totally different than mine and blacklist all calls from that area code (eliminating most spam and wrong numbers). Setup google voice to forward to the new #. $10 a month. Normal price is $20 a month (if you buy a year).

None of the deals requiring more than 1 phone line do me any good as I only need one. I considered this but on the off chance I need tech support if I get tired of doing the $10 new customer ones I'll just pay for a year at $20 per month with mint (10GB).

Anyone know when they will have Verizon 5G coverage? I've been with them for 2 years but only with 4G
Yes, they have 5G if your area has coverage. My wife is on Verizon CDMA and she gets 5G.

I ported directly when I switched. No issue. But be warned, if you do live in big city with a lot of Att traffic, you can have full signal and no connection. I experienced that when I was travelling.

Thank you for your explanation. One more question. I am using red pocket att SIM card right now. Can I switch to red pocket T-Mobile and keep the same number?
Yes, you can switch over to GSMT and keep your number. Simply select the GSMT option under "SIM Type" and port the number to the account during the activation process.

We encourage you to DM us here or connect with our eBay team should you have any questions during the process of porting to the GSMT service.

I just talked to the RedPocket Rep, he said it won't stack even if the plan is the same. Who are you? Are you official Red Pocket personnel? Can you verify what is the correct answer?
