I will tell you the opposite. Things were fine for years for my two lines, too.

But, then text messages randomly stopped appearing, and down the rabbit hole of TERRIBLE tech support that never responded to messages, never called back, never figured it out. So, I had to change to another MVNO. Then, Red Pocket said they couldn't remove the carrier lock on my iPhone - a total lie - until I went to the BBB. Then, suddenly they learned how. Of course, I was without that phone for weeks until the magical epiphany.

Just do yourself a favor and avoid these clowns. There are many other, much better, choices.
For those who are looking at some reviews for this, I moved my wife's # over to RedPocket about 5 years ago on this very same plan. She is on the GSMA plan and has had no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend it.
Hello! You'll have the flexibility of a 90-day activation period, and should this be the same plan you are renewing, you can stack now.

However, if the plans are not the same, then the existing plan will be forfeited.

I ported directly when I switched. No issue. But be warned, if you do live in big city with a lot of Att traffic, you can have full signal and no connection. I experienced that when I was travelling.
I figured AT&T prepaid did the same thing but haven't had an issue in the burbs. Wife has been on RP GSMA for 2 years but we are very different users LOL

Hotspot is about the only thing I care about working in a pinch so I'll need to test her phone first possibly.

The renewal code will be sent via email within 24-48 business hours from the order date. The subject line should read as follows: Red Pocket Activation Code

Feel free to connect with our eBay team directly should you have any concerns regarding a code.
Will the 3 GB plan being going on sale as well in the near future?

I just talked to the RedPocket Rep, he said it won't stack even if the plan is the same. Who are you? Are you official Red Pocket personnel? Can you verify what is the correct answer?
Yeah, I'm curious about this as well. If the plans stack (if they're the same) that would be amazing! Then I could always get the plans during deals, like now or the great Holiday deals they have, and stack them. But as it stands, it's not too bad. With 90 days to activate, I can usually push things a bit to line it up a bit better. And if I end up missing out on a few weeks, it's still less than half the cost of most other plans, so I'm not too worried.

I've been with Red Pocket for about 5 years. Was happy until recently when reliability has been an issue.

My wife's line (1GB yearly plan) suddenly went to 0GB and she had no data to do a simple web lookup or use an app. Red Pocket fixed it, but once wife has no data when on the road and needing it, that's a problem.

My line (this 8BG plan, bought in November) has have data usage calculation issues. I've had multiple instances where the usage has been way off. I average 2GB usage a month according to my iPhone. I've had to call and get it fixed, which involved the rep having to add up usage data on my account and fixing the remains usage numbers.

Then this week, my month flips over, and I get a text at 4am that my data is running low. I now have 1GB remaining, meaning that my new month got allocated 1GB instead of 8GB. Fixed through chat, but still, they seem to have issues.

They also really where really inflexible about an iPhone unlock about a year ago that would have cost them nothing to unlock early and would have saved me tons of time and effort.

I've got to decide this week to either buy another year for wife's phone, or to port her out.

Very very poor customer care. They are not able to figure it out why my service was down for 2 weeks until i found my self by adding data. Once your data end before month reset you are out of coverage unless you buy data.

I had them unlock my iPhone which was locked with them easily without any trouble. I met the criteria and then they unlocked it after I emailed and maybe called as well.
I will agree though that I feel like my information is not safe with the company. They somehow were selling my info for sure based on the ad texts I got. I was on mint mobile before and wanted to try red pocket just to see and mint had better service and less bugs for me. I can do wifi calling and easily do hotspot which for some reason wouldn't work well with red pocket. I have switched back to mint now. I was in red pocket for around a year and half just fyi. Red pocket is shady so I'm not surprised you had that experience but could just be a case study

That's correct, we offer a 90-day activation period.

How long after buying do we get the code, by e-mail. I bought as a renewal and have not received it yet.

I got it less than a day the last time I bought one but not yet. Did not know if that changed yet?

Thanks

Absolute BS. You should try going through Red Pocket customer service and trying this yourself. Doesnt stack. Even after I read @Red-PocketD saying this before, it absolutely doesn't work. I had the exact same plan, and it deleted the remainder of the time on my original plan, and left me with only 360 from the time of activating the new one.

I also noticed I cannot get on mobile data at the end of my billing cycle, even if I still had 2.5GB data left recently. Could you elaborate what other MVNO you think it's better? I see mixed reviews on Visible (Verizon network) too. Any good MVNO on ATT network? Maybe it's location dependent? TIA.

I bought from them twice on Ebay. The first time I got it almost immediately in the email. The second time they ship it.

It says "$50 off any Annual Plan when you buy a new line from redpocket.com through May 9, 2022". What does "buy a new line" mean? Can I buy it and use it to renew my current line, or do you have to have a completely new phone number?

On Verizon network many things won't work properly. Last time when I tried 8months back, no hotspot capability. Is that still an issue?

I tried all the prepaid (or most of them inc redpocket) but AT&T prepaid if you must have AT&T is great and they have rollover which I am not sure anyone has anymore but is great. I on the $300 year plan (8GB) which gives you hotspot and NA (Canada/US/Mexico) and while it was only 4G I never had an issue. You can buy prepaid cards and I normally pay around $270 all in for the year. While I loved the service there were holes in my neighborhood and I found that AT&T is really strict on supported phones that Verizon has much better coverage so I went to USMobile which is the best prepaid I ever had and pay $71 for 4 unlimited lines BUT it is on Verizon. My brother has had Cricket for 5+ years and loves it also, and they have added features but they are even more strict that AT&T on phones. If you live the iPhone life you are OK. USM They do not offer hotspot for free, and if you travel outside the US its eSIM and data only and they allow Verizon or Tmobile 5G if your phone supports it. BTW AT&T support is the pits, but if I really got stuck I would just go into an AT&T corporate store (when it isn't busy) and be nice and the fine folks always took care of me so props to them.
