I’ve had mine for about a year and can say there’s nothing really special about it. If you’re lucky, it will come properly adjusted. I wasn’t lucky.

Mine was about 1/8” off on one side. There’s some adjustment you can do that may or may not help. It’s a pain in the ass to do, but mine is better after adjustment, but still off. I haven’t had the time to take it to a service center.

The other issue I had was the infeed/outfeed tables weren’t aligned either. Not hard to adjust, but wanted to mention they’re flimsy so they flex anyways. You get 2” of snipe on each end of your boards, but I think that’s a fairly common problem for all benchtop planers. This Ridgid may snipe slightly worse though due to the flimsy tables.

I think a Wen with the granite tables would have been a better purchase. I went with the Ridgid because it was a good deal on DTO.

I ordered 5/5 on 9:44AM PDT (from the email). Shipped from SC.
So, you ordered over 2 1/2 hours after me, and yours already arrived, and mine hasn't shipped yet. I wonder how they set their shipping order --first in-last out?

Yeah, you have to wonder about their logistics at that point. Maybe mine was on top of the stack!

Mine was delivered today which was a surprise as tracking showed on truck for delivery next business day. The box is pretty rough though that isn't surprising given how heavy it is. I'll get it out and tested this weekend.

Well no point in testing it, the corner is shattered into a bunch of pieces. Called direct tool and the wait time is 97 to 112 minutes.

Mine is finally scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Fedex was pretty slow… three days in Virginia.

Unit finally arrived. I did not open, but it's in a pristine factory box so I'm feeling like this was a hot deal. LSA messaging is right on the box.

Well mine is with FedEx going back to dtfo. They said they will replace it if they have inventory. So I guess I'll find out in a couple of weeks if I'm getting another one.

Still available on the website. You should ask them to reserve you a unit if they see the tracking number on the return as in transit.

Planer arrived, looks brand new.

I have a question about LSA fo those that have done it before.

I entered the information on the registration site, uploaded my receipt, and submitted my receipt for review. But, the info message says I need to mail the receipt in. Does uploading the receipt and submitting the receipt for review online cover that or do I still need to mail in the receipt?

Use the Chat instead. Mention you have all the information uploaded and ask if they can confirm the registration. It took less than a minute. Last year I printed everything and mailed it in, and later read about the Chat option in a SD discussion.

Went through LSA registration process online with model number and serial. No option to upload the receipt. I have to physically mail in the last page of the registration process (lists customer number) as well as my receipt from DTO.

Annoying.

They even tell you to use certified mail.
