How is power consumption compared to Hynix P31?

I wonder how it compares to WD SN570 for $81:

Edit: for PCIe 4 its very slow.

Bought this last time, could never get it to be recognized in my Lenovo Legion 7 Slim laptop. Working on a warranty claim now ugh.

Good price for Gen4 and TBW of 1600. It was BF deal before at $75 after MIR. After formatting it my console was showing read speed of 5600 MB/s and so far no issues

Edit: I was referring to M470 model. This one is no good even at this price

I'm still bitter.

It was also $199 as part of GPU bundles in the Newegg Shuffle.

Gen 4 at 3600/3000MB/s? which is Gen 3 speeds pass. M470 is faster drive if got it for $75 during holidays.

You should just assume all gen4 drives uses more power and generates more heat

Yep, definately not the best M.2 for a Gen4 system, been alot of better ones for $99-120.

That said if you're going from a slower gen3 M.2 you will still notice a difference.

read speed is below recommend 5500 minimum for PS5 so while it may work I'd rather just get something faster for faster games in the future

Got the msi m470 back during black friday for 95. That one is currently 105, but the difference in reliability might be enticing for a few extra bucks. m470 has 1600 TBW, and speeds up to 4400MB/s, where as this 450 drive while cheaper, only has 600TBW rating and a lil bit slower.

If I were in the market, I'd go with the 470 again, but in my personal experience so far, msi drives are good stuff.

you are talking about 1, maybe 2 second difference in loading time between those speeds. and not that it " may" work, t actually does work for the ps5.. transferring data (full game) will take longer.. but what? 10 seconds longer? lol..

But anybody that was looking for a gen 4 ssd, that Sabrent one few days backs was the one to get.

Cheap if you want a compatible ps5 drive. But if you specifically want a drive with Gen 4 speeds, find another drive.
