I had their service for 3 years. Just kept renewing everything was fine. Never needed to contact customer service.

But then year 4 happened, and one tiny mistake happened, as they attempted to resolve it, it created more serious issues and a cascading impact occurred that literally took over 4 months to only PARTIALLY resolve SOME of the issues they created AFTER I contacted them.

Hands down THE. WORST. CUSTOMER. SERVICE. EVER.

At the end of the day all the time I spent wasting customer service is probably the equivalent of contacting CS for 50 years, and more than makes up for the 3 error free years I had with them.

My annual plan expires shortly. I will not be renewing.
Don't get it even if they give for free. Bad customer service. Have not resolved gsma issue for several phone after att 5g upgrade
This.
Switched from GSMA to CDMA and wala! VoLTE is there, and all my phone works now. (have gone through CS for months to resolve this 3G shutdown crap. 5 hours waiting etc.)
- tried different SIM from VZW and TMO and VoLTE is triggered on (unlocked phones).
- RP needs to provision GSMA phone for VoLTE to work, but would not.
ATT is trash @ RedPocket.
+ takes weeks for RP to recognize your purchase and to give credit for the annual plan
+ annual plan stops after a few months; headache of going through CS to reactivate etc.
Be ware.

have multiple lines with RP, and all same experience. will switch after contract is over. Who knows? CS will get better by then. Fingers crossed. Hate to leave cheap service. ;-)
Other than cost, there's a lot you miss. If cash is not an issue, don't switch. Best, AR

Do these plans include the hotspot feature?

For example, if I order the 10 GB plan, can I use the phone as a hotspot/router, and this data usage counts against the 10GB?

Does it matter if the phone is iPhonve vs Android?

Thanks!
Yes RedPocket includes HotSpot and you can use up to the plan limit on any device. They also have free Int'l calls to may countries, which is something I haven't seen offered by other MVNOs. I'm very happy with it (although I haven't had to contact CS...yet). I am using the GSMA plan and after trying almost every MVNO available, have found RP's GSMA to be the most reliable and fastest service. Wish I could re-up on this deal, but I can wait until BF when my current plan winds down.

What are the issues you're having? I had been having issues and finally sorted it out recently.

I got the opposite message: it can be used for existing lines, just contact them when your current plan is about to expire to apply this one. No need to change the SIM either.
I left Red Pocket in October 2020. Am I considering at new customer and required to port in the existing line phone number for this offer or any new phone number from other telco company?

I'm confused. This works out to $11/mo. Why not just pay $15/mo through T-Mobile Prepaid?

(I know its a few dollars more. But you have better stability and support)

As long as you don't depend upon your phone service, Red Pocket is great. It requires tinkering and customer service communications to keep it up and running.
I ported out several numbers after being a customer for 2 years. Just tired of picking up my phone and hoping that I will work. You should not have to "reprovision" your service every other month on the annual plan. You should not have to wonder if your text went through or if it has been shut off. If that's not a problem, then save a few bucks and go with RP. I have happily moved on. Everyone doesn't have the same experience but many share my experience. You have been warned. You can't say that you didn't know.

Those that have added this to your existing account....how did you do it? Also can you wait to apply it (like the ebay ones)? Mine is good till the end of June but if I can tag this onto the end of that, I'd like to.

I love Red Pocket...they've been extremely good to me. I was on an old plan they offered for $10 a month (only 1gb of data) and even though they stopped offering this plan, they've let me keep it.

I've also contacted their support several times through chat and they've always been awesome.

Totally recommend them!

This Mother's Day promo is for both new and existing customers. Just be sure to apply promo code: MOMSDAY50 at checkout.
Great timing. Worked like a charm, had no trouble buying it.
My plan was due to expire in 6 days and I was headed to Mint's 4GB plan.
Thanks.

Total Price : $288.65
Taxable amount:$282.00

$0.17 Federal Telecommunications Relay Services Fund (IPCTS)
$1.50 State Sales Tax
$0.67 Prepaid Wireless 911 Surcharge
$0.22 Prepaid Wireless Telecom Service Charge

I had RP for a couple of years. In general it was ok, but the data is not very reliable. This month, there is still 1gb data left but it just can't connect to any websites.

Sadly people signing up for the annual plans don't get an option of eSim. What kinda policy is that.... strange. I had to cancel my order due to this.
