Generally not beneficial — IF you have a balanced diet, which is hard to do in practice. So a multi does no real harm and can be seen as cheap insurance against minor deficiencies in certain vitamins and minerals.

This is for man, don't know why those multivitamins are separated on man, woman, below 50,above 50 etc.. Is this a marketing trick?

Some examples:

women usually are deficient in iron compared to men. Also at a certain age, you start to lose bone density and muscles. They could tailor their pills for different groups.

If the ingredients and amount are the same per pill for all, then it's marketing

I've taken these and the off brand for the past 20 years. Ordered these on the last deal. Not sure what has changed but these really make me feel like I'm going to throw up when I take them on an empty stomach. Never had this issue before.

As the other person said, and also with the clarifier that I'm not an expert of any kind, a lot of it comes down to your diet. I personally think the "small" cost is worth it.

And I take mine spread out through the day. If your body can't absorb x amount of vitamin y at once, then there is a better chance that 1/2x of vitamin y, or 1/4x of vitamin y might lead to less of it being flushed down the toilet in your urine.

In my 20s and early 30s, I never felt a difference taking vitamins. Now that I'm a little older, vitamins make a difference for me. YMMV as everyone's body and diet is different.

One important fact that people are missing is that the soil on which vegetables & fruits grow has been depleted, so what we eat don't contain the same amount of nutrients as it was a few decades ago.

Multi-Vitamins are an insurance and they are very cheap.

Be careful with these things. Mineral overdose is a thing. I was getting muscle see spasms that ceased when I stopped taking these.
