Long time user, first time poster, go easy! Think this is a pretty bada$$ deal from all the recent home theater research i've been doing. Klipsch r-34-c Center Channel speaker for half off normal msrp for $249. Does not include shipping. Shipping to TX was gonna be $16 so seems reasonable.

I've never heard of the site above, seems local to up north. However it is also on discount at BestBuy for $299. Link below.

I actually got a price match from BestBuy to match the $249 price from ABC Warehouse. Used link below to chat with someone and they took care of it no problem

It might get loud, but it probably doesn't go deep enough to reproduce male voices very well.

My r-34c actually just got delivered this morning so I hooked it up in order to give it a quick test... It does have great richness and clarity but I think you guys are 100% right in that you can still tell the sound is originating from 'tiny' speakers. Best way I can describe it is that it sounds like an extremely high end portable bluetooth speaker... like the best bluetooth speaker you've ever heard, but still sounds like a portable bluetooth speaker in which the sound lacks any 'weight' to it. I turn my sub onto an extremely low gain setting and of course it fills in the sound and would overall be absolutely acceptable to any average person however now I realize what depth of sound I'd be leaving on the table by settling for such small drivers. I got 14 days to return so will compare side by side to the 450c once it arrives however I don't doubt one bit the larger drivers on the 450c will shine compared to what I'm hearing now. I normally don't buy electronics just to test/return however I really wanted to confirm everything with my own ears and not surprisingly, you guys were absolutely correct. I appreciate your patience with us noobies and your willingness to share knowledge.

Blows my old Polk Audio center out of the water, and was only 130 bucks (plus finishing costs around 25). It's large and uses 5 1/2" woofers, but designed very well. Flat down to 43 hz, so male voices sound proper.
Well my 450c came in and it took me all of 10 seconds to be blown away by the massive difference in the two. My wife even noticed it and she has zero care in the world for home theater audio. I literally cut out my L and R speakers and the 450c alone still filled the room to the point where I could have easily fooled myself that they were actually hooked up. The sound is weighty, rich, and full. Can't thank you enough for the suggestion. I initially thought I wouldn't even be able to power this beast but I'm afraid to crank it past normal volume because of how loud it gets. For a newbie like me this thing is an absolute masterpiece, can't imagine what the next tier of audio equipment sounds like!
