Thanks! I was wondering if they were measuring the 9'x9' from the canopy or the base of the legs. Although it was in the description I just zoomed by and went straight to comments.

Avoid slant leg, the legs snap way to easily.

Spend a bit more, get straight leg.

I'm not an engineer, so I can't explain why that's the case, but it is the case.
