For $25 you can go from a 350w to 500w power supply, seems worth it.

And for $10 you can upgrade the Wifi/BT card.

Good enough to game on. Airflow sucks, propriety motherboard. Yes it can mine around 30 mh but with lhr unlock out this ain't worth it for that anymore.

Does anyone know if a non-HP 3070/3080 could be swapped into this? With upgraded thermals, would this combo be practical?

Haven't seen a prebuilt with a 1660 Super in it this cheap since last year's Dells.

Anybody know how well this Ryzen 5 5600G compares with an 11th Gen Intel i5?

At least you get dual channel 8GB ram with this build.

500W power supply, insufficient for most mid-high tier GPUs
and HP uses its own propritary case with weird ass internal config, so no, you probably won't be able to swap or upgrade parts on your own
(stay away from HP/Dell/Alienware in general)
(to be fair though - it's cheap)

These freaking HP DT's. I bought one and had the roughest GD time installing my own SSD. Make sure you turn off the bios security crap/TPM. Make sure you turn off Bitlocker too if you want to repurpose the SSD. I have a Win 10 pro Business license. I wanted to upgrade to Win11 pro. Grrr. HP support was no help either. One overseas guy was "Why do you want to install Win 11 pro for?" WTF?? I never call for crap like that because I can figure it out or look online. Then Win 10 would only install home. I had to look online to correct that. The Dell LT I got weeks prior to the HP did not have that many problems. I know its MS and more HP. LOL. If you need help PM. me.

Yeah go for it, I just bought a single 8 GB for like 30 and left the other 4 in. I don't need 16.

Dell and Alienware PCs are very easy to swap parts.

Windows 11 requires TPM 2.0 so that you can't do farking anything that Mickeysoft doesn't approve of.

EDIT: This is specifically with the goal of making YOUR computer a phone that you have 0 control over ala Apple and Google "App Stores".
