Not really. Better to upgrade the GPU than the CPU for about the same price.
Get your own ram to upgrade later but do upgrade the power supply, $25, and the WiFi card, $10, now if ordering.

You can get a nice 1tb for around $80. I plan on getting one first thing when this PC ships. It's really not difficult to install even if it's your first time.
and HP uses its own propritary case with weird ass internal config, so no, you probably won't be able to swap or upgrade parts on your own
(stay away from HP/Dell/Alienware in general)
(to be fair though - it's cheap)
If you're not a hard-core PC gamer that plans to spend $1000+ or plans to swap the graphics card down the line, this will work great for your needs. The CPU and graphics cards are definitely adequate, especially at this price. SSD is a bit small, but easily swapped and I'm guessing an additional SSD/HDD could be added. It's rare for a desktop to not have a slot for a second drive. I'd only stay away if you want to upgrade the graphics card later, as you may run into power supply or case size limitations. But that's easily solved by buying the upgraded version today.
I'd be buying this today, but I no longer do any PC gaming so I don't need to upgrade quite yet - my desktop has another year or two in it for my purposes, I think.

But 1 month lead time worries me. One of the only reviews I could find for a Victus computer on HP website was 1 star and the guy said that 2 days before his estimated ship date they delayed his order by another month and when he tried to cancel they told him he couldn't because it was "in process" - I really don't want to spend $800 and have nothing for 1-2+ months while prices continue to fall around me.
Anyone have any experience buying one of these on how accurate the estimated ship date is?
