"Hi-Fi Quad DAC - ESS9038 Pro", which is in theory comparable with other standalone DACs in the 300 range (however no idea if the audio implementation is good).
I would personally think of it more as buying it for the high end DAC that just happens to have a battery, bluetooth, and speaker but that's just me. Probably will get one and give it a shot.

There are others. Everyone always says the soundbars don't do as well as pretty much any other setup but they can be useful in some situations.

I have the v1 and v2 Katana sound bars and enjoy them a lot.
I'd def bite on this at $100, but $200 is still too much.

I do think the v2 is a bit expensive at $329 and there are and better sounding soundbars out there. Though this is a "gaming" soundbar. I have mine hooked up to my samsung smart monitor that is a smart tv and a computer monitor.
I'd def recommend the V2 over a V1 in new condition, but if you can get the V1 refurbed with a coupon for $125ish it is hard to beat at that price.
