I am not a streamer but I find this very useful.
1. I use them to toggle between my audio (2 headsets, PC audio, 2nd monitor speaker, etc)
2. Turn off, sleep, logoff of windows. It even empty trash bin with a single press.
3. Control lighting
4. Use multiaction key to toggle between one monitor and 2 monitor (extended or duplicated)
5. Pretty much any macro commands
6. Clock, date and PC health info
7. One press to check your current bandwidth speed
Any chance you could share some of those scripts? I just use my streamdeck for stopping and starting recording of game footage... But I also would want to do some things you do, as well as maybe a button for manual backups of things. I'm kinda overwhelmed by it still
I am not script savvy but you can just google for plugins. For example, for audio toggle, just google "stream deck audio toggle"
For Windows PC control, google "Krabs windows Gizmos"
For Macro, Under streamdeck, drag multi action...there is a tutorial on google on how to use some commands.

I use my Elgato15 with my racing simulator as Ive never liked buttons on the wheels. Works great for my dad playing truck driver simulator as well since I can set icons for each action. Considering this larger model but not sure it will fit my rig as well as the 15 button one does.
But yes, you can use these for more than just streaming. I love the 15 button, I wish I got 2 when they were $100.
you clearly havent done large scale live production. This is beyond useful in live events, streaming included.
If you think a Stream Deck is reliable enough for a large video production, you're either cosplaying or bad at your job.
Look, I get it: The Stream Deck looks like a cool, fun toy. The kid in me wants one, too. Just don't lie to yourself about why you want it and what its value is.
Also, if you're doing work with a keyboard and mouse, moving your hands to a Stream Deck is pointless. You'll be faster, richer, and happier spending the same time configuring a stream-deck-like macro app - that's where the real value and power is. The physical hardware is pointless for keyboard/mouse users besides being shiny cool desk decor (which is a fair reason to buy it). Just please stop rationalizing it as some productivity investment.
Is this handy for someone like me who uses Final Cut and Lightroom?
I like to toggle between library scan mode and develop mode., Things like flagging photos, exporting. Sure I can click a button.
I'm not a graphic designer or video editor by trade but I used to set up the custom macro keys on my old Logitech gaming keyboard for the keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop. It made things a breeze when creating multiple graphics. Unfortunately, my keyboard's software is too old for newer Macs so I've been eyeing the Streamdeck to accomplish similar functions.

Lots of others. Not necessary, but fun and useful.

I guess you just have to connect to the "right" rep
2 online chats struck me down
Took them about 10 minutes to generate the order/invoice and email it to me.
