You put yours in 4WD a lot? My strap sits in front 95% of the time. That said, I have 13s and they seem fine, but my feet stay in without the strap so maybe it's my width.
Good question, but I mean specifically the strappy ones, not the clogs (those are fine, but make me sweat like crazy, so I usually go with sandals or canvas Crocs)
