My prediction: a few low quality models will be produced, vehicle gets horrible reviews, then company files for bankruptcy.

Apple designs the iphone, Fisker Designs the PEAR. Foxconn and suppliers do most of the engineering.

Your battery range will be EXTREMELY low though.
With lithium shortages and the political push to go all EV, prices will go up and not down if we all want 300 mile vehicles on current lithium tech.
Likewise, to charge will cost more, too. More demand on the energy grid = higher $0.xx/kW.
That said, my cousin who has a Tesla said it cost him like $20 to charge at home, so definitely cheaper at the moment than gas. But he did pay a premium, so he's getting his ROI now when gas prices are high. Granted, I WFH, so it would take me decades to break even with an EV compared to current gasoline prices.
Hopefully, the next innovation comes sooner rather than later and helps the EV market. I still think that charging is bad, especially for those without a dedicated charger at home (apartments, townhouses/condos) and living in colder climates.

I'd pay 20% more for a Tesla rebadged as a Toyota cause I know the supply chain/servicing wider.
