HOME DEPOT PRICE HACK - Get the Milwaukee M18 1/2" Gen 2 Mid Torque Impact Wrench with friction ring (that's a mouthful) for 135.86+tax!

HOW I LIKE TO DO IT:
1. Add the M18 Impact Wrench 2962-20 to cart.

2. Add 48-59-1862S to cart (Battery starter pack). And BOOOOM. Prices should update and show the big discount.

3. You should pickup the tool at a Home Depot location. Set a different pickup location for the battery starter pack. This will allow you to pickup ONLY the Impact Wrench at one store, and then you can cancel the other items that would be ready at a different store. I like to do it this way because I've been denied in store multiple times when trying to return only one of the promotional items for the big discount. I think it just depends on the employee/location tho. Many people report that they are able to return only one of the items in store just fine, so yah idk...

4. Place the order (most difficult step, wink wink).

5. Cancel the items you don't want. Text SUPPORT to 38698 or call for online order support at 1-800-430-3376. There's a way to cancel online and in-app as well. You may not be able to cancel right away if an item needs to be shipped to store, so cancel when it arrives at the store (may take a week or so).

6. Wait for your refund to come thru to reflect the $135.86+tax price!

It's used to hold the sockets in place. Your choices are friction ring or pin detent. I prefer friction ring because they are easier to swap but some prefer pin detent because they're more secure and less likely to fall off. I have had socket fall off my friction ring drivers before but I still prefer them over pin detent. It's personal preference.

That's your opinion. If Home Depot wanted this to stop, they wouldn't explicitly enable it by having discounted prices itemized on the receipt and allowing partial returns at those values. If Home Depot felt this was theft/fraud and didn't want it to continue, they would've stopped it years ago.

Home Depot still profits, Milwaukee sells more tools, and people get to walk away feeling like they got a good deal. Everyone wins.

Exactly this. They know what people do and have been doing for years. Also without this hack I would have spent thousands of less dollars at HD. Especially on tools I don't need or haven't used. Actually now that I think about it, I hate this hack. I feel like they're defrauding me 😭

Well said and the truth about the last part hurts lol. I would also argue that alot of us using this hack are being sensible about the number of lithium battery packs we hoard. They work so well and last so long I don't NEED them with EVERY single tool I purchase.

If you're arguing that the sale price is somehow only reserved for people that get the tool+batt together, I would counter with why shouldnt us loyal customers- some that have been buying into the system for decades, also receive the same discount on the tool?

Since they allow it I would think HD and big red M agree.

I was no allowed to change the method or location of one item. They both had to have the same matching type of delivery and the location if going to a store. I went ahead and had it sent to the store. Should I have had it delivered to my house? Can I pickup the order and then return one item? It won't let me cancel one item in the app. Any suggestions?
