I've been looking for the 1/2" M18 impact wrench for a while and this is the best deal I've seen
This deal takes advantage of the Home Depot "hack". The impact wrench is a free tool add-on to the M18 rotary hammer kit but you can call in to cancel the hammer kit from your order
Steps below:
1. Navigate to the product page for the 1/2in impact wrench tool only (link below). You'll see the "Free Gift with Purchase offer" under the price.
2. Choose your main item (choose the cheapest item which is the M18 FUEL 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless 1 in. Cordless SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer Kit)
3. When you go to checkout you'll see the impact wrench has a prorated value of $165.67 after the discount
4. Place the order and call to cancel the rotary hammer kit for a refund of $433.33. You have 45 minutes to call in. If you miss this window you should be able to return it in store

Cordless mid-torque impact wrench only weighs 5.1 lbs
18V impact wrench delivers up to 650 ft-lbs of nut-busting torque
Could be a better deal instead of tool only since new gen is coming up
Have you heard something about new gen mid torques? I haven't seen any rumblings or news that new ones are on the way. The mid torques are some of their newest impact wrenches. They are just 2 years old, they have older tools that would probably get a new gen before the mid torque. For example, the high torque is much older and hasn't gotten a new gen with the tri lights yet.

I'm doing some suspension work right now and the m12 stubby is not cutting it..
I only have 3/8" impact sockets, so I'd have to use an adapter for the time being.
This will handle 99% of all car work from lug nuts to flywheel bolts to 2 inch axle nuts it's done it all. 650 lbs torque come on now it's a beast.
I'm literally smiling from ear to ear with this thing.
Now I'm not sure the stubby is that useful. It does work on my lugs, so that's nice.
I wish I hadn't bought a nice Sunex 3/8" set and bought a 1/2" set instead. Using some Pittsburgh Pro 1/2" sockets in the meantime.
Need a second backup brushless ratchet. Want a compact 3/8 12V impact. Want one of these 18V 1/2 impacts with a battery.
