It will be built in Ohio by Foxconn off the MIH platform.

This will probably be a very good flip opportunity.
Reservation cost is $250 for the first, $100 for the second. If you cancel the reservation, Fisker would keep $25 as an administration fee. They did this to reduce fake reservations.

It's a legal scam. Every single EV manufacturers do this (Lordstown, Workhorse, Lucid, Rivian, you name it) to make their company performance report looking good so they can get more investment money. If they can get enough money to spend on the operation, they might actually deliver the products, like Lucid and Rivian. If their plan fail, like Lordstown or Workhorse, you get your deposit back but the investors got burned. Even Tesla pulled the same trick in its early stage.

If you are risk averse, then don't get a reservation. I believe the risk vs. reward balance on this is pretty favorable, but if you disagree, simply wait until more details are announced.

If company goes under, I don't think you don't your deposit back. They are using that money to power the company.
