I've always enjoyed this movie as a Bruce Lee fan, though some fans think it whitewashes a lot of Bruce's history and distorts reality.

As previously said the movie is embellished, full of generic good guys overcoming adversity type stuff, and in general just kind of ridiculous. That being said it's pretty fun, there are good performances from underused actors and some great lines - you could do a lot worse.

I got this as a gift for Christmas as I had it originally on DVD and the transfer is very good.

Caught this in the theater, knew almost nothing about it at the time. Didn't expect much and I was blown away by it. It was funny at times, engaging with Tons of action to boot. I bought the soundtrack, it's very good.

Jason Scott lee was fantastic as Bruce Lee and I'm surprised I never saw him more in other things besides Soldier.

Is it a movie about the real life of Bruce lee? Uh no, I don't think so. Maybe in a vague sort of way.

But, if you haven't seen this you should. It really is great. I think most people would like it despite the fact that it's more of a drama and not historically that accurate.

I think I'll upgrade to the Blu-ray. Thanks.

The commentary is also great. It's not only interesting, but also helps you understand where the movie diverges from real life and why they made the choices they did.
