Which issues have you had with Zavvi? Never ordered from them, but have had my interest peaked a few times from their Lego deals
Got the Ecto-1 set, the box came pretty destroyed, but the outside shipping box was fine (so obviously it was shipped out with a damaged box). I tried contacting them when it arrived, they completely ignored the problem, I emailed them a few times, no help or response. So finally I filed a PayPal claim... the return address they gave was in the UK so it was too expensive to pay return shipping to be worth it, so I wasn't able to return it. So basically they shipped me a damaged product, zero customer service, and they make it tough to do a return... so overall not worth the discount for me compared to the possible hassle.
I've also heard from a lot of people they can take weeks or longer to ship. I didn't have that problem, it was shipped in a reasonable amount of time. Some people say they had zero problems as well, so it seems to be hit or miss. I got the feeling they're selling factory seconds/damaged boxes that's why they discount them, but aren't advertising it as that, but maybe I'm wrong.
I guess if you don't care about the boxes, or needing customer service then the discount may be worth it.

Sounds like they may be hit or miss... but if it is a miss, in my experience you'll have zero help in fixing a problem. So I like to warn people what to expect if they have an issue.
I've seen a lot of complaints about them and some people say they've been fine, but I try to warn people just in case. I'd hate to see more people have to deal with getting a subpar item, and no recourse, when spending a decent amount of money.
Maybe they've read some feedback on here and stepped their game up some... but after how they treated me, I'm never going to buy from them again and try to spread the word. They could have easily offered a small discount, or to pay return shipping, and I'd have been happy... but if a company completely ignores emails after sending items they know are damaged, they deserve all the bad reviews they get. I'm sure they've lost more business from my bad reviews than they gained ripping me off.

This is like Zavvi normal price. Been this price for 18 months. Good set though. Need the LED light kit for it !
