when you buy a plane ticket, you are agreeing to not bring certain things on a plane. this is one of them.
nobody is 'taking this from you'. if you have this while in the process to board your plane, you are admitting that you didn't read the rules / forgot. so then you surrender it to comply to what you already agreed to. that's all.
Bought it before. It's cool for what it is, but it's almost comically tiny.
So much baloney about TSA, taxes, etc in a thread about a knife that's been this price forever.

I had one. I left it in my backpack going through security and TSA seized it.
Do you recall the technicalities of its confiscation? Was it just a blade? A blade of a certain length? Etc.. would be curious to know.
For what its worth _some_ airport have shipping portals (USPS etc) at ticketing areas, id you've budgeted the time to return to those and go through the nonsense of shipping something. Just a thought

I told them the item was smaller than the minimum blade length, but TSA has broad discretion. You can argue, but TSA has all the power. Now, I just check everything before going to the airport.
Can I put my yubikey in this? Or what do people suggest for those. I have a smart lock so I don't care keys and wondering how to not lose it besides carrying around my laptop bag
Not sure about since 2018, but it's been this price for at least 30 days straight. It's another "List Price" is higher type of deal, where Amazon shows a certain percentage off, but it's been that price for a while. I doubt the OP knew this, it happens all the time and occasionally hits FP deals.

there is no minimum blade length. they tried that a decade ago and it got reversed.
