I'm loving my current Rolex GMT Root beer homage because of its beautiful ceramic bezel and bronze dial. I paired it with a light brown leather band and it instantly became my favorite watch. I know there's a stigma with wearing a copy but it looks so good.

This Edox is very similar and doesn't have the "stigma" so I'm in for one 😁
Plus, I'm looking forward to quality lume and movement (Selita SW200) from a respected brand. I would love an open case back but this is a 300m diver so that can be excused. The closed case back is pretty nicely done though.

A long-retired Edox watchmaker shed light on the story. The SkyDiver, he said, was rumoured to be a secret project for a mysterious, wealthy Swiss colonel. The anonymous colonel wanted an exclusive timepiece for elite mountain paratroopers under his command. The watch had to be dependable and rugged – just like his troops. He chose Edox because of the brand's exceptional water-resistant watches, able to handle any situation the paratroopers might face – on land, air or sea. The colonel insisted on total secrecy.

Also, to be fair, this is a re-release of a 2019 release but with various improvements. I like the improvements so I bought it. Would not have bought the 2019 version.
I bought a COSC before, but the watch didn't do it for me so I returned it. I've been using automatic watches for a while and the improved accuracy isn't a big deal.
I love Rolex designs but I do think they're way overpriced, even at MSRP.
I can see spending up to $1k on a watch but that's when you get into uncomfortable territory where you don't want to wear the watch because you don't want it scratched.
I accidentally hit my beautiful root beer GMT against a wall the other day. Then remember it's a homage that costs $100. I'd have a heart attack if I paid market price for a real one.
This is a decent price for the watch. The only thing I was disappointed with was the buckle on the bands in black. On YouTube videos the buckle is bronze. Maybe I got a one off?

According to my timegrapher it's +7 spd face up. Not too shabby and much better than I expected.

Where are you guys ordering from? Perhaps region has to do with buckle colors. Mine shipped to Socal.
The watch is nice but I think the bronze should be more warm. Mine is a bit more yellow than copper. Not sure if I'm going to keep mine. Mostly because it doesn't add as much uniqueness to my collection. Although it's quite a value for the price.

What about numbers? Does your certificate have a number? What about the back of the watch? It should say a number out of 555. I would doubt Costco got more than 100 of these and would assume it would be numbered 400-555 since the watch has been around for years.
I just hope the second one has the right buckle. I guess we'll see. Either way I'm keeping it (at least one of the them
I agree it looks more gold than bronze but that's even better.
