The YouTube review videos on this one seems to be consistent outperforming its comparable peers by 10% frame rates due to better build quality and perhaps better cooling. The Nitro 5 you mentioned is a slightly newer model that I haven't seen that many reviews on (so the more reliable choice might be the Lenovo) . Considering 3080 and 3070TI are both in full wattage I'd say they are close. Now I've seen ppl say that the Nitro's fan all the time so that could be a draw back.

Check for yourself, but apparently not really:

Depends on what you're doing. If you're just web browsing/gaming and occasional video/picture editing you're fine. If you plan to use this as a dedicated vid editing machine, for example, then you're going to want more than 16GB.

CPU TDP is 165W, based on Lenovo product specification reference website for exact model or part number. Please refer to the following link for more details: https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/Lenovo_Legion_7_16ACHg6?tab=spec

Unless your workload really benefits from having 14 cores I don't see any reason to get the 2022 model. The new 3070ti will perform slightly worse and the 3080ti will barely be better than the 3080. With intel you'll get way worse battery life despite having a large battery with the new system. Now with the 2022 you can't have the combination of amd processor with nvidia gpu. Although the 6800m is still great it sits between a 3070 and 3080 in terms of performance leaning closer to the 3080.

In terms of gaming you are unlikely to see any worthwhile gains compared to the previous gen. I had the new zephyrus m16 12900h and 3070ti(100 watt even though they claimed 120watts) and the performance was disappointing.

I would rather get the ryzen 5900 hx and 3080 16 gb with full 165 watts over anything available right now and at $1800 it's a great bargain.

What a steal. Walmart return is also painless. Giving this a try to see if the Legion 7 chassis is worth the premium over the 5 Pro.

I am really liking the new redesign of the 2022 Legion 7. I placed an order for this one but I'm wondering if it's worth it to pay a bit more premium for the 2022 Legion 7.

I believe it is 165w. Also looking at the previous frontpage deal for this laptop when it was $2050 13 days ago the specs in the description of the post says "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 16GB Graphics"

Yeah I'm also wondering if it would be wiser to go with the new legion 7 with 12700h/3070ti as they're both pretty close in price

I was going to jump on this but I also like the new design.

I figure the lower specced legion 7s will be similar to this price after cashback and I don't need a 3080.
