$9.00 lower (%69 savings) than the regular price of $12.99

One of the most influential books of the twentieth century gets the graphic treatment in this first-ever adaptation of George Orwell's 1984.

War is Peace * Freedom is Slavery * Ignorance is Strength

In 1984, London is a grim city in the totalitarian state of Oceania where Big Brother is always watching you and the Thought Police can practically read your mind. Winston Smith is a man in grave danger for the simple reason that his memory still functions. Drawn into a forbidden love affair, Winston finds the courage to join a secret revolutionary organization called the Brotherhood, dedicated to the destruction of the Party. Together with his beloved Julia, he hazards his life in a deadly match against the powers that be.

With evocative, immersive art from Fido Nesti, this vision of George Orwell's dystopian masterpiece provides a new perspective for longtime fans but is also an accessible entry point for young readers and adults who have yet to discover the iconic story that is still so relevant today.

I guess you really don't want this on 6" kindle paperwhite, I tried some comics on it before, they were unreadable. This one uses even darker colors, and small fonts for text, I would not get this unless you plan to read on Fire Tablet or ipad or something with high res bright display. I am waiting for actual novel to be $1-$3 to get it on my kindle.

I don't have a massive book collection but I identified a few key pieces to collect. I have a first US print of 1984. And it's kind of wild to hear the shortage stuff in mass media designed to pump specific industries or deflect from attention…whichever works at the time. Especially pronounced was the "no toys at Christmas this year" push that resulted in totally screwed up predictions around product supply and a glut of toys in December due to overproduction from early buying.

"Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes [2+2] are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once."
The foresight in this book of the government demanding its people believe what it says just because they're the government is remarkable.

If it's on your kindle, they might actually pull it from your device, so better buy actual printed book if you are worried about books being banned... I don't think it would happen, but I guess some people are worried that people actually read books these days?

Does anyone know the difference:
