A lot of people in construction and wood working and many other industrial settings, let alone home owners, actually use these for work-related reasons. I agree that the KN-95 "foldable" design is more convenient for personal COVID protection reasons, but many people that use N95s for work might be interested in these.

These 8210s are the old non-foldable style masks and have actually been hovering around this price for more than a month now. For the additional $6 I'd get the 3M Aura 9205 Masks [amazon.com] which are individually wrapped, foldable, comfortable, and highly effective. Those have dropped to the $21 range.

Bought 8210's about a year ago. Very tight seal, but kinda small if you have a larger face. HTH!

Bought a couple of pack for spring allergy, work really well. A much better alternative than popping pills!

These are are terrible. The rubber elastic straps will snap on you at random leaving you with a defective mask in whatever situation you're in

Deal is a fantastic price even befor ecovid and these are so incredibly useful. however, i agree with FIS in that the foldables are much preferrable for non specific use. ie if youa re not going into an attic, or about to go into a covid ward or something like that, the foldables are much more comfortable and are a lot easier to get a good seal. the down side is that I suspect they are less effective, but OTOH a poorly fitted specialized mask is significantly less effective than a well fitted mediocre n95.

try them ... I used vented n95s for well over a decade and thought i could only use them because i have glasses. but 3m makes really awesome products - my favorites are the vertical folds.

You need to stretch the straps well before putting on the mask and then you shouldn't have a problem.

I can't testify if stretching will help but as someone who does reuse masks, I found that these seem to break more easily after repeated use than some of the other masks that I have. For those of you who just straight dispose this is not an issue and it seems like a fine mask otherwise

Agree. The vented models with the woven straps are much more durable.

And for the anti mask folks, these are helpful for wildfire smoke as well, though if you are exposed for hours, these masks clog up (and darken in color dramatically) with long exposure to heavy smoke.

While that may help with wearing, the rubber strap on these degrade with age (rubber dries out), and the repeated stretching on reuse will cause the strap to fail pretty quickly. The strap becomes brittle and tears.

For one time use situations, that's fine. But I tend to reuse them.
