I fished out of float tubes for years. Never an issue. The bladders are usually very strong. Hooks and fish have never presented a problem. They are comfortable.

I fished with mine in Northern california. No gators, no cotton mouths, or snapping turtles. With that said, I would most likely never fish with one down south. All of the above are in the waters there, lol!!!
I'm sure gators love these.

This is great until you hit a oyster shell or rocks and tear a hole.

I'd be more concerned about hooks and spines as after all it is a fishing float.

I like the idea of inflatables but over the years, if not sooner, it'll pop a hole. A lot of it depends on how you use and store it.

I've been fishing from an inflatable kayak for over a decade and a dozen times per year and never an issue.

Kayaks (hard shell) are often on sale for $150. Even in NY I wouldn't dangle my feet around a snapping turtle
